kevinkin
Has anyone seen this while making / testing a new battle? I will send a picture but I bet I am not the first to notice this. Does not affect game play the best I can tell and I think it might be related to how the OOB interacts with the AI plan in effect. Kieme(ITA)
I don't understand, could really use a picture here.
kevinkin
I have one ... how do you insert from hard drive? Kevin
kohlenklau
I use a photo hosting site. You upload your edited file image to there and then paste the link to here so it can be seen in your post.Just make sure to pay the bill at the photo site or all your pictures will become dead links!

kevinkin
Thanks ... here it is ... note the yellow around the village.
Pete Wenman
It looks like some kind of objective. Hit Alt J and see if it disappears ? P
kohlenklau
...or it could be the support targets for the AI? A massive plastering from offmap artillery? Did you cut this map down from another scenario? Sometimes "stuff" comes along for the ride even if you think it is gone.
Baneman
Looks to me like you have inadvertently given a ( very large ) circular Covered Arc to a unit.
kevinkin
Not an objective but I will check the other two theories. The plot thickens. Kevin
kohlenklau
The map maker didn't use a coaster for his huge glass of lemonade?orOOB contains a lot of poor motivation conscripts pissing their pants? Frankster65
Got to be a massive circular cover arc from some unit IMHO.
Pete Wenman
If it's a cover arc then it will be for the unit selected in the image. Cover arcs for the AI only show when the unit with the arc is selected, and to be pedantic it isn't a cover arc, but rather an ambush command given within the AI editor. kevinkin
will check the ambush idea too. it does appear to be generated by a unit controlled by an ai plan. kevin
kohlenklau
Oh, I see now. "Yellow circle around the map" kind of misled me. Yes, this is that particular AI groups Ambush circular target arc. Set in the AI plans. radius of 75m up to 1000m in a few increments. If it is purple then it is "ambush armor". Mystery solved.
kevinkin
Indeed, the circle is an the ambush range selected for a group within an AI plan and displayed in scenario author test mode. Thanks. Kevin
