LUCASWILLEN05
According to CNN ISIS captured some M1A2s at some point. Interesting that the US have admitted it. How many tanks we are actually talking about is another matter if this is true http://edition.cnn.com/2014/08/09/world/meast/iraq-crisis/index.html?hpt=hp_t1
akd
They might have captured export (downgraded) M1A1s from Iraq.
Kieme(ITA)
AFAIK I have only seen M1A1 in the "new" Iraqi army... but indeed there have been many sources saying that US equipment has fallen into ISIS hands, they call it "advanced", although, a lot of stuff is advanced with respect to, let's say, a BMP-1. For now I have seen only ISIS up-armored Humvees, nothing else when it comes to US stuff. Other than that I saw videos with ISIS T-55, 62, BMP-1s and techincals. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/06/17/isis-moving-seized-us-tanks-humvees-to-syria/
Saferight
As far as US made heavy equipment goes (besides the humvees) they have MTVRs,M1117 armored security vehicles, and M198 howitzers.
Kieme(ITA)
There's a lot of misinformation, for example I just watched a state television newsprogram here in Italy where they stated that ISIS have access to "very modern US weapons", meanwhile they show up images of that parade they held, you know, with that BMP drifting around... all 40/60 yrs old equipment from URSS.
Saferight
Convoy with M117, MTVR towing M198, and lots of Ford and Chevy pickups Looks like they have M113s as well
Saferight
Are the M1A1Ms the Iraqis have fitted with the gas turbine engine or a diesel?
Buzz
Looks like an IS 'victory parade' of sorts. Great for "recruiting" I suppose? Talking heads in US keep referring to captured up armored Humvees from Iraqi desertion as the vehicle the Peshmerga can not defeat? Their Anti-Tank Weaponry and Armored Vehicles can defeat Humvees?
GhostRider3/3
One reason not to leave our toys in the sandbox. My Mom always said to take my toys back to my room and store them there until I wanted to play again. as some of the neighbor kids would want to steal them. Looks like more targets for aircraft.
