Squallion
Is there a way to make the WSAD camera movement smooth in CMSF?
George MC
No idea I'm afraid. I use the mouse to control camera movement, find it way easier.
agusto
I must have overlooked your thread. If the options menu doesnt offer the possibility to make the WASD camera smooth then there is probably no way to make it so.
Squallion
Ah. I am disappointed. I really like shock force! That camera just drives me nuts.
A Canadian Cat
The camera smoothness is something that has steadily improved in CMBN. On my old machine I noticed things are better, it seems, each time they update things. I think the issue is those improvements have been added to CMBN (and the newly released titles) but CMSF has not received any love in the past while. Something that BFC has said they intend to change. No idea where that is on their priority list though.
Erwin
BF has said they intend a CMSF2 "at some time in the future". Best thing is to keep politely enquiring about that.
MikeyD
CMSF's game engine was too early to accept the big v2.0 expansion patch that CMBN got. Charles had coded in smoother WASD movement into CMBN/FI/RT but CMSF is past patching. I hardly notice because I never touch the WASD keys. Several popular 3rd party keyboard set for CMSF did away with WASD entirely to free up keys for other commands.
