womble
Oh come on guys. This is so obviously a troll. Don't feed it any more. CW's been out more than a year (2 yet?), and if this was the general experience, wouldn't there be a sea of QQ? Wouldn't there be a raft of rants in the FI forum warning people off BFC product? And yet in the face of this absence, this one keeps ranting about it being BFC's fault, and has triple-posted his misinformation, jumping right in with assertions of fact before asking for any assistance with the problems he has caused himself. Troll. Leave him be.
Wodin
Novice they charge a small $5 fee if you go over the year..but they will only do this once I believe..make sure you have it backed up this time..I use both my HD and cloud. Ask them nicely for it to be reinstated for $5.
Ranger33
Another example of a disgruntled customer that could be easily remedied by BF allowing folks to download the install files via a BFC hosted, community seeded torrent. Would be completely free, and just as secure as the current system, but they won't do it.
Kat Johnston
If something on a computer is valuable to you and irreplaceable, back it up. Always. Maybe twice. Saves a lot of heartbreak.
novice
Do a clean fresh install from scratch, remove any mods from the BF file where the game file (or save somewhere and put back in later).CMBN,CW module which will take your game to version1.10 then add the 1.11 patch.Hey Presto you're good to go. Looks like this did it = so it is sorted by starting again from scratch... thanks for the advice. Frustrating while it lasted... and i lost all my more recent saved games but hey.
