Macisle
I just submitted my first scenario file to the Repository, but forgot to add the "promo" pics that I made. Is the correct procedure to use the description text html editor to insert a large image? How about for the thumb to the right of the short description? Thanks! George MC
Hi Macisle If I recall you'll have to save em as PNG files. Then just click the edit button and update images, browse and select then upload. Simples
Juju
Macisle, A simple jpg will do just fine (and is preferable to png, if you consider file size). Problem is -that is, if they didn't 'fix' it since my last upload- is that you cannot attach a preview screenshot at the same time you're uploading your mod. Only once it's approved and published you need to log in into your account and go to the mod's web page. Next to an edit and delete button you will also find a button that lets you attach or update that preview screenshot. Kinda clunky, but that's the way it goes as far as I can remember.

Yeah, this is where I got stuck. I'm up on image file types and am using jpgs, but that was my first upload to the Repository. So, like Juju said, the system doesn't let you add a screenshot when first posting. Then later, when you get the add thumbnail option, it seems to automatically reduce your image to a small thumb to put with the description text. The small thumb pops up fine to the large image, but I wanted the large image to be placed above the description text automatically, as I have seen others do. When I uploaded the QB version of my map Friday, I used the tagset to put an image at the top of the description text. It looked like it was going to work for what I want, but I won't know until the Repository posts the file (prolly Monday). Yes, kinda' clunky. They might want to at least add some explanation text on the submit page to let people know the procedure and their options (add thumbnail vs. html insert into desc. text). Oh, and Juju--LOVE your GUI work! -Am a happy user.
