JonS
How in the world was I supposed to know that? Was the honking great arrow not a bit of a clue?
Redwolf
Was the honking great arrow not a bit of a clue? Nope. I even clicked on pretty much everything in that dialog, no action. There's no indication that you are supposed to drag one over the other. In any case both the base executable and the patch executable should spew out an error message when they have installation parts missing, instead of simply going blackscreen.

An image file with the program and a link to 'applications'. Drag the program to 'applications' - done.

Michael I actually made it through using a Mac without ever installing one piece of commercial software on it I thought this Apple thing is supposed to have a great user interface?
JonS
It does. Apparently, though, it doesn't have great users.
