Sgt Schultz
I must have missed the discussion. There is no way I am the first to wonder where our little forest-dwelling friends are. Which Module will include Partisans? As far as I am concerned, they are already late. Partisan activity ensured the delay of Pz Divisions to the front on and immediately following D-Day. They tied down fairly large forces all over occupied territory as the battle for Europe grew. Plus I want to re-make my CMBB battle "Guerillas in the Mist". How hard would it be to add in a few small formations of lightly-armed troops? - EDIT - I suppose I could use pared-down Free French, but that's just not the same.

I don't know much about French partisan activity, but wouldn't most of the delays they imposed be due to blowing railway lines and ambushing supply convoys rather than "hot" engagements with frontline forces which CMBN is primarily depicting ? Agree that EF has them far more actively involved.
Sergei
French partisans were not much of a combat force - the only instance where they stood against Germans and weren't ruthlessly wiped out was in Paris, and that was only because they timed their uprising so that the Allied armies were already at the gates. Allies actually requested the resistance not to rise in arms against the Germans because of how lopsided and senseless slaughter the result would invariably be. It was mainly in Soviet Union and Yugoslavia where partisans could operate as a fighting force - and even Tito's partisans avoided decisive battles with the occupation forces.
Cymru
I agree that the effect of Maquis activity would be in slowing down German movement, typically well behind the front lines. I assume scenario creators could take this into account when determining force composition and reinforcement schedules.
