goochy123
Hi All, Whilst I have had the game for a bit now, I aint really had time to play it till now. I have a few noob questions and hope someone would be kind enough to assist me. 1. What are the most popular mods for this game e.g. graphical, unit and QB maps with AI scripting? 2. Can someone suggest some good campaigns to download? 2. How do I find opponents for multiplayer e.g. is there a site to go to or do you just swap IP's? I like the game but am still just playing on casual. Am I ruining the experience by playing on casual? Thanks for any help or assistance. I will be browsing the threads but time is limited as I also just got shock force with the marines and British forces so have to do the same with that game.
Erwin
There a LOT of mods out there, and people have different tastes. However, ARIS has accomplished the impressive task of modding ALL the CMBN vehicles and guns, and terrain. So start there. Also look at VEIN's mods to improve fire, smoke, muzzle blast effects etc. While there are many more xnt mods available, downloading and installing mods by the two above will keep you busy for quite a while.
Lt. Smash
Before you do anything else, go to the Repository and download Devil's Descent. It's a great campaign. Now that that's done, you can find PBEM opponents here. Just post on these boards saying you're looking for an opponent. I'd volunteer but am current tapped out of time for another game. Alternatively, you can challenge someone in the numerous Peng threads. Bob
daisy
You could also find opponents at some of the wargaming clubs, see the links below : http://www.theblitz.org/ http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/
xian
You might find my list of installed mods useful. They are all available at BFC repository.
Lt. Smash
Xian, thanks for sharing your list of mods with the ratings. I'm honored my floating icons are on the list. I hope to have an update for CW with a couple of requested enhancements done shortly after the new module is released. Bob

MikeyD
CM:BN isn't like CMx1. While mods are nice and some are very good they aren't exactly 'vital'. I recently had occassion to load a clean copy of the old CMBB title and I gasped at the original default art! I had completely forgot what the original looked like. That was a game that REALLY needed to be thoroughly modded.
Sergei
I don't know about that, I actually like the way CMBB looks even today. Now, CMBO on the other hand...
