Best bet for screenshots in CM is FRAPS:

    https://fraps.com/

Then set yopurself up with an image hosting site like Imgur:

    https://imgur.com/

FRAPS is outdated and unmaintained and shouldn't be used anymore. The best option is to use the bundled software that come with your GPU drivers either from Nvidia or AMD depending on your card. Either this or the feature to record thats built into windows 10.

No need to use 3rd party apps anymore anyway.

Also imgur is a bad choice, https://imgbb.com/https://imageshack.com/https://imgshare.io/ are all much better.

    Not smart.

Haha that is actually from the american M60 (for representation - its the same in the T-64/72/80 series).

    Actual T-72/90:

The seating is a little better in the T series (left )than in an M60 (right):

Any of those updates include SteamOS support? I'm thinking of giving Windows 11 a miss, which means switching to Linux by 2025. I would very much like to continue playing Combat Mission past that point.

Negative, none of the Combat Mission games run under wine/proton, very very sadly as this is one of the games that makes me keep windows on my PC (which I hate to use BTW)

  4. One building on the map "Huge Dam-rough (2160 x 2784) 024 Assault.btt" has no doors, so it is impossible to enter - and also to leave the building if you put your troops inside at the deployment phase. It is the control tower on the airfield.

the response, from the testers. Was that, dont care about the UI. It doesn´t represent the actuall penetration values!

How nice. Then why the hell do we have that graphics if it is useless? Devs don't care about correcting info graphics in their own game... 😑

Well, you are picking ONE outlier event which means it is worthless as an exercise in predicting game outcome.

I have also seen instances where the same type of AT weapon scores a kill on the 1st hit, which is just as meaningless.

If you really want to see if there is a problem, do what we do, setup a test scenario with 50-100 shooters trying to hit a stationary target at 225 meters, then come back with the results and we can see if the accuracy needs to be tweaked.

There you go, clearly the situation I had was absolutely correct and realistic, me only being a bad guy here. Move along, nothing happened.

I've never had that problem - and I've played a lot of Combat Mission.

Yeah I also use my imagination.

Like when half of my infantry squad killed themselves with an rpg grenade because a destroyed tank happened to be just in front of them and this game doesn't calculate that into the line of fire and also doesn't simulate arming distances.

I just tell myself, yes they were killed because...it was a faulty rpg and a round detonated prematurely.

With imagination, you can turn any game into a good game 😂

Not necessarily. Are you talking about RL or ingame?

Do you realize that if a chance for something is 50% than it doesn't matter how many times you run it, it will remain 50%?

For example in roulette the chance for red isn't higher if you just had a black number.

Although in RL the operator might learn to aim a bit lower or higher. But between reloading and the rocket standard inaccuracy not sure how much that would mean.

In game I don't know if chance gets bigger.

But what's your point anyway? you haven't made one.

I am talking about RL, since You were the one linking a RL document about chances to hit.

And this game claims to simulate the real world, hence this entire discussion.
