  1. Maybe a litle noicy/loud under load, with a small single fan liquid cooloing solution. But if you dont care, of the sound from the speeding fan. I think you will be happy soon.
  2. Haha good one But as SlowLarry mentions above. Its the cooling for the cpu I mean. A 9900k produces alot of heat. And you cant put a cheap, 15$ no name air cooler on it. It wont work. Or more correctly. It will probbably work. But it will be thermal throttling, and the cpu will only be at its 3,6Ghz baseclock, all the time. With a good cooling solution, and unlocked Powerbudget on the mobo. It will be att max boost all the time needed. 5Ghz for < 2 cores, 4,8Ghz <4 cores 4,7Ghz all core boost. And more quiet.
  3. Ahh, you Think wee are finished with discussing? We haven´t even started to discuss CPU cooling? Are you going for air, AIO, or full water?
  4. But when the last 25 builds, where the same. I pushed the button
  5. Just take it easy. I bulit my system like 100 times. Before I pressed the button. In my case over 3100 US dollar. But that was with all the extra HDD`s, and an 27" IPS monitor
  6. I Went for 2x16, becouse RAM is so cheap right now. Could change with Corona fast though. And no, it´s better to buy 2x8, then 1x16. Since it´s dual channel. What I meant was. It´s better/faster to only have two, of the four RAM places occupied. So 2x16 is quicker than 4x8. Regarding SSD´s. Its more like random read, or sequential read. becouse thats where the difference is between NVMe, SATA, and Optane. Optane is fast in both, really fast. NVMe is really fast in sequential read, but not in random. And random read is most of the desktop´s normal work. But if a 1/10 scenario, where the 100 dollar more expensive NVMe drive do it´s jobb. Is important. Buy it! But the normal day, you won´t notice any differance. Thats why you dont see any real differance in windows restart/startup, or in games startup, or level loading. And take the heat, and warranties into account
  7. 1: Some of G.Skill´s RAM´s are really good. But they don´t make the memorychips themself. Samsung B-die memory, is the memory of choise. And is in most high end RAM modules. But RAM is easy to change. If you don´t have a huge aircooler on the CPU. There is even a Samsung B-die finder https://benzhaomin.github.io/bdiefinder/ 2: 16GB is ok for now. But if you buy 2x8Gb now. And ad another 2x8 later. 4x8 will be slower, than 2x16 in a dual channel system. And the RAM´s you buy later, must be of the same specification, as the first ones. 3) Agree 100% 4) Just get a good MB with USB type-C, and maybe WiFi. Z390. ASUS have good ones, like the HERO. For a good price. Or the ROG STRIX Z390E With WiFi, for 100 buck´s less. 5) Your choise, but I Think 850w is the way to go. And go with a Seasonic one. Like Corsair´s 80+ Platinum 6) Just a copy from above: The primary harddrive. I Think not only that NVMe drives underdeliver in real World performance. But they get really hot, and have shorter warrantys. So go for a Samsung 860 SATA SSD.
  8. If you will keep the base, for 5-10 years. Thats where the quality Components are going. I, Went for a Corsair HX 850 80+ platinum PSU, only a few bucks more. And it´s made by Seasonic. Wich are top notch PSU makers. Wich the RM is not. Good motherboard, becouse it´s hard to change later. CPU: Get the best, you can. 2023, you can´t change it. A case you can live with, for 10 years. With USB type-C. The primary harddrive. I Think not only that NVMe drives underdeliver in real World performance. But they get really hot, and have shorter warrantys. So go for a SATA SSD. The rest is easy to change in the future. Or buy a soundcard, or whatever. But if you are going to keep the base for maybe, 8-10 years! Thats where the Money should go!
  9. I Think Erwin, like me. Is going to keep the base, for quite some time. So I Think the I9 would be the best way to go. I just bought the 2060S, as a placeholder. For next gen cards. As I Think the 2080Ti, is way too expensive. When next gen cards arive, later this year? You can, as Always. Buy last gen top performance, for half the price It was only because of Red Dead Reademtion 2´s imminent release on PC. That I bought an 2060S, as a placeholder for next gen cards. Otherwise, it would have been a cheaper GPU.
  10. 2060 is a 6Gb card with less Cu´s. 2060 Super is an 8 Gb card, that is more or less the old 2070. 2070 Super is 10-15% faster than 2060S. https://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/xfx_radeon_rx_5600_xt_thicc_2_review,16.html NVMe SSD´s are faster in benchmarks. But not in the typical use. Like I wrote, it shines in copy files between two of them. But Windows will not start faster. Game levels will not load faster. Only Intel Optane drives, will load your games very much faster. But they will cost you dineros, and a lot of them. Edit: Just an example
  11. Did the same as you, and bought a regular Samsung 860. The NVME drives shines, if you have two of them. And copy files between them. But Windows doesent load faster, and niether will games.
  12. I don´t know if I can help you? But last October. I uppgraded from a: 10 year old, first gen Core I7 950 "Nehalem" 4c8t 3,06Ghz base, 3,2Ghz boost, 18Gb 1333mhz RAM, Geforce GTX 970. All CM games installed on a 7200rpm HDD. To a Core I9 9900K, 32Gb 3200mhz RAM, Geforce 2060 Super, And an Samsung 860 1Tb SSD. All CM games installed on the SSD. I only moved the first computer to my doughters room. So all CM games, are still installed. For testing purpuses. And the only notable differance, is the loading times. Especially in very large scenarios. If you want me to test the differance in a scenario, just tell me. I have all CM games except CMBN installed on both computers. So it will not take long time to do. edit: I have Nvidia overlay, with FPS counter. So I can see the FPS at all time.
  13. But most interesting from my link, is: "1 Projectile programmed (air burst mode) to neutralize MBT. All optical sights were hit and destroyed." And thats with 1 round. Fire a burst of three, and that mbt, for sure. Wont be able to return fire. https://www.unsw.adfa.edu.au/conferences/sites/conferences/files/uploads/1010 van Meerten Canberra Med Cal_0.pdf
  14. You seem to be right. From the detonation Point, it works like an AP shotgun. https://www.unsw.adfa.edu.au/conferences/sites/conferences/files/uploads/1010%20van%20Meerten%20Canberra%20Med%20Cal_0.pdf
  15. ouch, thats a new one to mee. Only in long grass though?
  16. Yeah ABM works fine in CMBS, so its not a problem in the engine. I know, its not just something that can be changed with a Quick fix. Since every scenario, and Campaign, for the Dutch must be rebalanced to hell! But as it is now. I, as you. Prefer the YPR, over the CV9035 in game.
  17. The 35mm KETF round is an "Air Burst Munition" or ABM. But in CM, it is as effective as the 25mm autocannon on the M2 Bradley. In real Life, ABM is devestating. Works fine in CMBS, but is nerfed too hell in CMSF2. Why? IRL: This is 57mm ABM. And You Yankees bought this gun for your Navy from bofors. This is a more than 15 years old film of ABM from 40mm CV90. But the ABM effect of the dutch 35mm ABM round, would be similar!
  18. Mine too. But with a platoon, above the trenches. Like there was no trenches. becouse the trenches is sucked down in to the hill/mountain. I just want to know, if they still offer the same protection. Even if the pixeltroppen are on top of them, not in them
  19. It was not the terrain itself, I was talking about. But the trenches sinking down, to almost invisible. And if I, put a pixeltruppen there. Will this unit be as protected, as a unit in a trench. Where the trenche is on totaly flat grounnd
  20. The first part of your anwser. Don´t work, if I take one away, It returns to it´s original stance. The second part: Though fun to read. Was not an answer, to my other question?
  21. One thing more. Can I change the direction of the trench, without adding Another trench? And in that case, how?
  22. In hilly, and sometimes other terrain, trenches often sink down. But are they still giving the same protection, as they are on flat ground? When they look like they should. If you put a unit there?
  23. But you did, undenieble. Some showoffs, in puplic! Of your skills in tactical warfare? In MP games, right?
