With that said, I think they're a shoe-in for a CMSF 2.0 module.
Oh, that'd be great, but hasn't BF said there will be no more content for CMSF 2.0 beyond the existing modules?

Or CM: North German Plain. CM: Red Denmark? CM: Seven Days to the Rhine?
Anything late 70s/80s would be awesome. Even though I love CMBS, some more evenly matched, but still modern forces would be great. I don't need no stinkin' APS!

Personally, I would rather see resourced directed towards CM: Fulda Gap than Black Sea 2.

Thanks Erwin! I wasn't sure how effective area/suppression fire is in this game.
What about the different movement commands for infantry? How often do you use the more deliberate ones like Hunt & Slow?
I use hunt rarely for infantry. I think it's much more effective for vehicles, but it does have a place in wooded areas. Slow is good for creeping to the crest of a rise or up to a rooftop, but it tires your pixeltruppen out very quickly. I feel like infantry do best moving as quickly as possible to cover/firing positions.

I do not agree. Strykers with .50 make a excellent anti light armor platforms such as MTLBs and BTR-82s. Despite the latter having proper IFV weaponry (6MB and A variants) they have worse (and much worse in case of 6MB) optical packages and usually go belly up when engaged by HMG fire. Stryker tactical offensive worth might be overall lower than general 30mm armed AFVs, but they are certainly not a thing to ignore.
Agreed. You have to be careful with them, but both the .50 cal and 40mm versions pack a good punch. I also think that the American armoured trucks with a .50 cal are the best value QB units in the game.

@Chudacabra I actually made an attempt with one of the security teams to use a Javelin and knock out the ATGM but had trouble with targeting. For most of the map all the good fire positions are simply out of range or exposed enough that the enemy would probably get the Javelin teams.
Power Hour is a fairly quick scenario relative to its size; being only forty-five minutes long. The need for a rapid exit overrides some of the more cautious tactics that would work in seize-type missions.
How do you think you would have handled things as the Russians? Massed Abrams' are a mighty foe.

Final release to follow.
And yes, I realize there's a typo; for some reason I didn't see it when I was spellchecking.
Fantastic video. Some amazing coordination on your part. Didn't see any Javelins used though, any reason?

Did a little poking around in game; Russian recon squads have demo charges but no other non-engineer units in either UKR or RUS forces have them in game.
Would be nice if there was MOUT augmented units in their OOB in a future patch/expac. Also, breach kits that could be acquired from vehicles/supply trucks would be a nice addition.
Agreed, I generally add at least one breach team per company (per platoon in urban terrain).

Wow! This map is incredible. Worth the loading time!

Great DAR! Thanks for taking the time to make the scenario and document the game. Do you think you'll change the Ukrainian forces for the scenario? They seem to be pretty undergunned against so many Russians.

Thanks guys
She's a wee bit small to handle electronic stuff but appears to like reading Ost Front history.
Oh and it looks like I can't upload images directly to the new forum at the moment. The above link takes you to IMGUR in the meantime!
Cheery!
That's incredibly funny and adorable. Congratulations!

How about the map comes with a USB coin-operated slot that you must feed quarters into so that your troops will perform buddy aid.
-
Looks like an amazing map!

Where's the covfefe shop?

Wow! This looks incredible. Are there plans for a scenario/campaign using the map?

A T-90 manages to kill two Oplots with one round (an Abrams-esque event!).

Awesome! I'm about 15 minutes in so far and it's a great scenario. Very nice scale and the map is very well done.

I'd be willing to help out with the briefing if you still need it.

I think a lot of what you're asking for might be included in the first module for the game. Keep in mind that the game was released in 2015 and much of the development occurred before then.
That being said, I'm currently in a PBEM and I found that Oplots generally performed quite poorly against T-90AM's even at close ranges.
-
This might be difficult to model, but one thing that might be nice is if infantry under artillery fire would run into a nearby armoured vehicle instead of running away.

Awesome! About 15 minutes into City of Death and it's great so far. I am strongly in favour of more battle packs for all CM games.
