I would like the game if it wasn't so very far behind engine wise compared to the rest of CM. Its probably from me being spoiled by the other games further along in the engine, but this one gives me the worst performance and it kills it for me. Definitely would love to see it revisted with better models, textures, tank riders etc. but not going to happen sadly.
Oh and does anyone think the amount of western firearms the muj have in game are a little over embellished. I get maybe some pakistani G3's but M-16's, FN Fal's, and AR-10's kinda seem far fetched and i took it for just Russian spin.

I know what your talking about, i just figured it was shadows from the clouds passing overhead. Visually its really annoying though.

I think the best I can do is to draw the hood hanging down at the back of the collar. One of the German Uniform mod smocks had that type effect. Maybe Vein's?

Are these new, or old mod from CMSF days? (Always good to have new CMSF stuff.)
Both of those are new to CM. i ripped one from some combat footage and the other someone had done the same and released it on the web..

they are mostly from other games like MoH CoD not sure if others have released these before ( except for "Background day combat 2" i slapped that together)..
I love to change background, it's always cool to hear a new one, an break the feeling of playing always the same war.
Its pretty cool we have that ability with all sound mods out there.

Really awesome work i think this going to give CMSF a much needed facelift.
Also i know nothing about modding this but is it possible to add graffiti/political posters and pockmarks from bullets and shells to the buildings?

Are the M1A1Ms the Iraqis have fitted with the gas turbine engine or a diesel?

Looks like they have M113s as well

As far as US made heavy equipment goes (besides the humvees) they have MTVRs,M1117 armored security vehicles, and M198 howitzers.

I may be mistaken but arent all the coax mg sounds on tanks the same but the bow mg sounds are correct?

Thats all up to bfc really which i hope will be changed in the patch so at least the modders can make a variety.

Oh ok, yeah, the gun MG42 x2 and x3 files should probably not be used in the game as it seems to add gunfire after the firing has stopped.
I assumed it was for longer bursts but i see what you mean.

Ya and like i said i mixed folders up. problem solved for the mg42 sound and there shoildnt be any issues with the new ones i posted.

(Personally I only mod the gun mg42.wav file. that's the one you named wrong so that's the one that didn't work)

Someone correct me if im wrong but the IS-1 was mostly used from spring of '44 through the summer? After that they became a much rarer beast.
