Yeah when i was putting this album together i was surprised to see the Sturmpanzer Units had Panzer IIs attached. What would have been the reasoning been behind that? Similar reason as to why the kind of early Tiger units had Panzer IIINs perhaps?

I asked about this awhile back and Mikey Ds reply was they were against slat armor being added to the Ukr vehicles because of the amount of tandem warhead at weapons in-game would make it pointless. I kinda agree... It makes sense with the amount of PG7VRs in the Russian inf squads but with uncons added there would be a situation where slat would be worthwhile. See with uncons and their mix of kit you would see much more single stage rpgs in their hands like PG7VL VM V and just a few VR here and there depending on equipment quality. The added workload might be a pita for Bfc so i would be suprised if they change their opinion in the future.

I think in that first video it was said that was a kornet engaging a abrams. the turret sure has the shape of one. I think they lack the logistics to run them so they destroy them. Whats th fuel consumption for these beasts? Are the export models diseal?

Yes and from what i read cost was a big factor in the quality of the materials mainly the polymers used. if i remember correctly H&K used lower quality polymers than were spec'd originally. this all has shattered my idea of the G36 being this expensive uber futuristic rifle. some are saying the 416 would be the best choice for a replacement but i think that would be way too expensive. Is it even possible to refurbish these rifles?

i thought the reporting on the shortcomings of the G36 turned out to be true and the last i read was the BW is looking to have them all replaced.

I hate to use these guys for example but look at all the footage from the middle east over the past few years. Truck mounted weapons in that high threat environment are used in shoot n' scoot tactics basically popping the vehicles from cover to deliver a few bursts then quickly haul ass back to defilade.Thats how i try to use my HMMVs and Tigrs in CMBS. Whether its in a urban area or the countryside the longer they stay exposed the more chance of that gunner getting clipped or the whole vehicle blown. They are basically a very mobile soft target with a big friggin red arrow o' death on top of the gunners head. When i have my gunners killed its usually cause i drove them out into situation where i shouldn't have. Also 400m or 250m really aint that much to the small arms in CMBS or in real life.

Ya but do you notice the lack of backblast discipline in that fight? The camera man seemed to learn his lesson though hiding indoors for the next RPG shot LOL Not very effective in combat but i have to say handling a nearly 7 foot long rifle thats about 50 lbs like that is impressive.

Wayne vansant's graphic novels rock though i havent got katyusha yet. i have his work on the pacific "Days of darkness" and "Days of Wrath" along with "Knights of the Skull" a small series on the waffen ss. All of it is really gritty very authtenic and give you glimpse of how brutal and unforgiving war is.
