i agree with all of you guys @ScoutPl @ian @LLF
ISIS will alienate the locals at some point and they will jump into the arms of other less radical groups. The borders in the region will never be the same again thats for sure.

Are those the distant small arms sounds?
Will you do a soundmod with the first-person sounds as well?
The small arms sounds are staying as is. As i dug into the files more i found there wasnt much consistency between all the weapons. The sounds i have in the "base folders" are i guess slightly away, the ones in the optional folder mostly the loudest fps sounds. The really distant sounds just sounded very funky to me.

Ya it seems like every group of rebels/freedom fighters/terrorists needs to have a webmaster and social media manager nowadays. The Russian separatists will soon get the hang of it though like their counterparts in the middle east. Guess you gotta win the info war and get donations right?

. im going to have two sets, up close and ones a little further which are mostly these. Anyway I never really liked the sounds in RO2 thats why im doing RO1s next.@Ze Skunk

Would have liked to hear some of the german sounds too.
Oh and pro tip: Save the turn in the action turn and then pick the places you want to record from.

Ill have a video up later today. Btw can you tell me what files are the sounds for maxim,dp28, flamethrower, and ptrd. Oh and on the protip i just have to remember to not be so friggin high while recording.

Heh, well I might be busy a bit, but in three weeks I'll be on a long vacation (red; unemployed again) so I might have time then
It's really easy to do in GIMP tho...
I tried before with no success just havent had the time to really teach myself about alot of this stuff. With the time i do have off i just dont wanna spend it reading tutorials. i guess i owe that to everyone if im going to bother making mods right.

I found the sound of the flamethrower, called ................ "air rocket" - understand the limitations the engine, but give one sound for rockets and a flamethrower? -I do not know, maybe developers do not play their games, but then the sound in the game creates a 50% immersion - in "CMBN" even grease gun has its own sound, although it is difficult to find. But give only one sound for SVT and Mosina, dp and maksim - this is a big misunderstanding; (
ps. Is there a thread where you can report it to them and the authors read it?
go to tech support and start a thread. for me this is the only issue i have that irks me kinda with red thunder. those weapons are so iconic of the ost front they deserve their own unique sounds.

What about your hemet mod update while we're at it...? I've been missing that one for quite a while now.
I tried to update it with tank hunters normals but.it wouldnt take it. I deleted it with the intention of putting up the new one just forgot. Ill do it later today.

@fizou ya a bit i have all the incoming grenade! And casualties sounds done i think. I really havent much time to get on the computer since i started this. working around 50+ hours a week along with all the general schiesse that life throws at ya doesnt leave me free time. Let me see if i can muster the energy to make a video of the soviet casualty sounds.
@oddball im definitely going to give that a try i have all the files unpacked and converted. I am tempted to jump on that since it would be quicker but i want to focus on finishing the voices once i get some free time again.
I also wanted to ask for the help from any russian speakers on the forum as the ro2 files arent exactly named in way that makes it obvious to what they mean. Im having to do this off my very basic understanding of russian and comparing the files with the stock ones in cmrt to see what would go where. I would ask baron but hes gone is there anyone else on here who does?
Edit: not sure anyone noticied but i took down the music on gaj's they were the wrong bit rate i think and had honestly too many choices.
