@sburke Intersting person. Probably major Sergey Kononov, commander of mixed unit, created on 18th July from spetsnaz company of 331st VDV regiment of 98th VDV division and PMC. I wrote that Russians as far as after Popasna seizing operated with mixed groups of VDV and PMC. Looks like they desided as experiment to form mixed special purpose units under VDV command instead just combined units of VDV and PMC acting together, but with own commanders. Kononov already in 2014 was retired veteran of spetsnaz. Participated in the war on Donbas in 2014-2015, then enlisted in Wagner PMC and participated in combat actions in Syria and Lybia. Was awarded personally by Bashar Assad. He participated in this war since Feb 24th. Was near Kyiv and Kharkiv. His familiar told already in that time he was enlisted back to 331st VDV regiment as spetsnaz comany commander, but officer rank he returned back only on 18th July, when on the base of his company, the battalion was established (VDV+PMC?). He also was good specialist in mortars, so his last fight in Kherson oblast was on 22th of July, when he had been fired with mortar, but his position was hit by UKR kamikadze-dron (by other version the mortar shell exploded in the barrel) He also was some sort of "guru", so was known also as Sudarshna Prabkhu

I confused this name with position Muraveynik (for westerners - eng.Anthill) on Svitlodarsk bulge. What I found, that Muraveynik separs called UKR positions almost near the western edge of Donetsk airport runway - there are little uplands, where UKR trops gradually established branched position system. But this called just Muraveynik, without Big and Small.

Modern 155 mm mostly go to artillery brigades and air-assault troops. Most of mech,brigades maybe got 1-2 batteries and not all. Motorized infantry and reserve brigades looks like still use Soviet systems with their lack of 152 mm ammunition. 122 mm I suppose in some better situation

If this guy from there I don't see a reasons to untrust him. Other our sourses several days ago wrote we have lack of ammunition on this direction. There were several huge explosion in Avdiivka in previous days, maybe ammunition dumps were destroyed. Locals from Donetsk reported yesterday about several dozens shells on the city outskirt -in comparison with 6500 shells in Pisky for a day this is nothing

In UKR twitter is spreading rumors that Pisky lost. Yesterday there was info from our serviceman about UKR counter-attacks in Pisky and Maryinka and mopping-up in contested areas. He also confirmed DPR forces seized "Butivka" position. Though DPR propaganda just showed today heavy shellings of Pisky, so situation still unclear

Results of last night HIMARS strike in Pervomaysk, Luhansk oblast. This building is former office of "Pervomaysk coal" company. Maybe there was a place of troops deployment or HQ UPD. 22:00 3 HIMARS missiles on Stakhanov (Kadiivka), Luhansk oblast. There is unknown yet wath exactly was hit. Major Nikolay Prozorov, 18th assault aviation regiment (Chernihivka airfireld, Far East) of 303rd mixed aviation division of 11th AF&AD Army, Eastern Military District Got lost on 10th of March NW of Kyiv or in Zhytomyr oblast. His Su-25SM (#10, RF-91969) was shot down by 10th mountain-assault brigade.

@sburke Judging by red sripes on shoulder straps he was a serviceman of Ground forces, not VKS. Also about this say motor-rifle signs on shoulder starps. In his biography pointed he served in Stavropol. This could be either 49th CAA HQ, or 66th control brigade of this army. If so, he could be killed in Kherson oblast, where 49th CAA operates.
