  1. THANKS BEN! I will go take another look and see if I can make it happen using Hue/Saturation...
  2. I am still working on the new paint scheme. I will make a little BARB scenario to give it a nice debut.
  3. I haven't completely made the new armor with the shading along seams and rivets and such. I have done many of the steps but not all together. But I see it all in my mind! OK, I am trying to ultimately change a German CMRT Pak36 37mm ATG to be all grey for a BARB scenario. <That Pak along with an in-box full of other such tasks and hopes and dreams where my own armor MIGHT be the easiest solution.> This Pak and many other CM things only comes as dark yellow with green and/or brown splotches (or stripes or whatever). I asked for some help but hey, everybody's busy, I get it. I tried clone stamp, tried map-color exchange, map color rotate. Sometimes these methods turn out ok and I can live with the results. but now I think I will try to just make my own armor. I have a different project to make an all green "4BO" Soviet T-26 from an Italian Semovente which only comes in a challenging swirling mottled yellow with brown camo scheme. I have temporarily used color exchange but it looks fugly. My current armor recipe is trying a 3 color gradient then I am adding some HSV noise. Stock armor then has some secondary <or maybe even more who knows> layers of random "metallic splotches" over their first gradient layer. Maybe it is a splatter effect layer mask of just a different noise setting with a different gradient? There could be textures that already exists for this and I just need to get them. Though often when you see that cool stuff to use, they want money first. So, watch me as I have a little fun in GiMP and maybe fix the Pak36 and the T-26. Or maybe fail. Gotta try. @Lucky_Strike Please get that eye better! I need a coach.
  4. Hey Tommy. Excellent! Thank you for getting involved and adding your Super Polski power. It is actually not a problem to have all 3 as OPTIONS with different modtags for the use by the scenario writer. A certain scenario might come across better for using the actual short 75 with HE rounds. The German infantry approaching a village and need help. No armor threat exists. Maybe anti-tank rifles. Maybe an anti-tank gun. But if the scenario writer wants to dial up to the Stug he can. And now a 3rd option. It is all in the hands of the scenario writer to choose.
  5. I had never heard of that song before but I always liked Al Stewart's music. My wife got an old vinyl album of his and was playing it. A song about the Ost Front? Holy crap!!!
  6. Yes, I have been evaluating them for translation. I did a few so far. The ASL scenario card pdf is a nice easy to digest 1 page standard format.
  7. @chuckdyke Hey thanks for showing it. Hi. I appreciate the offer but I am more focused on CMRT and CMFI early war stuff at the moment.
  8. Although I do admit I never seem to have enough time to finish ALL the scenarios I am working on...I always have my eye out for inputs to make more CM scenarios. Some kind of mental issue there I am sure. Maybe like plastic model hobbyists with boxes and boxes of unbuilt not yet built models? Does anybody have any of these Bolt Action Campaign books? Do they describe some good scenarios that might translate well to CMRT, CMFI, etc. ...?
  9. Enjoy your dinner! I took a look for you... Allied Terrain Objective Number 10. Exit to les Landes. 6 action squares. Beautiful map...
  10. I had tried to set up a BBQ from a stock QB but the AI plan was quite flacid It was an awesome map but nothing much was happening for the AI. So that is why I said disregard. (EDIT: My thought or concept for this thread had been to use these QB's to quickly make some cool battles at nearly zero effort. If I MUST go in to tweak the AI plan and do testing, then that idea is invalid. ) But at least you all can follow the above post's instructions to set up the axis for a BBQ. 3 panzer platoons but without a Kompanie Chef (HQ). I did try many date choices to try and find the Panzer Company 45 [ad hoc] but these QB purchase options are different versus the scenario editor. I don't know why.
  11. I couldn't guess! Good work. That's the way to do it. For sure.
  12. So...do some internet data compare host T70 armor thickness front.sides.rear. "the usual areas" to the various shells we might use. T70 T26 BT7
  13. We can find out when we have some fun down at the testing range...
  14. Excellent Frenchy, you just got to have a place to put the liberated Cognac. Out of curiosity, did you use some existing mesh in the vehicle mdr or import another mdr or start from scratch?
  15. I agree for scenarios. I already now do this routinely for BARB, STAL, AFRIKA, KRETA, WARSAW, I think now always doing it for regular scenarios in the scenario folder. But this was for the QB maps. In the QB folder. The suffix I think is best for this situation. There is a filename nomenclature that can grab a QB map per the players specs and I think it leads off with map size. But FR QB's have FR but no huge, medium, etc. I guess it doesn't really matter...once it is a saved QB game, racked up and ready for the player, then I did use "BBQ A 001" as the filename.
  16. AFAIK, and it makes sense, the attributes and coded specs of the "host mdr" is what the game ALWAYS sees and uses for everything for physics of results in game play. There are some accidental variance in certain display actions as we saw when the T-26 seemed to NOT fire from the turret.
  17. Hey Ski. Great! When you want...I offer my humble and limited level of knowledge to assist you.
  18. DISREGARD. It was all hosed up... Standby and I will sort this out...
  19. @Frenchy56 Oh my! What happened to the previous "I don't add new content..." mindset? No worry, please keep it up. Thank you. This community definitely needs more "Blender mad scientists".
  20. Great! Good luck to you Daniel-san and keep me posted. Best wishes, Mr. Miyagi
  21. Anybody out there want to dive into learning Blender? Come on, the water is fine...once you crack through the layer of ice on the top... "We" as a community really need more folks to learn this and try to do stuff. @Frenchy56
  22. This is a T-26 Model 1933 built in the Goodenoughsokov tank factory. The height of the T-26 Model 1933 was 7'4" and the Humber was 7'10" but I did lower the turret a wee bit to close some modelling gaps so I really think we are close enough for my concerns.
