  1. Hi Guys, First, this has only appeared once, when playing Whitmann's Demise. So it doesn't bother me. I do remember seeing a post about it in an earlier forum thread. Unless it continues, or starts to cause an issue, I won't spend the time trying to uninstall and reinstall patches. Second for mj; it is not Photoshopped. The wound appeared after the Marder had a short exchange of gunfire with a Sherman III. No rounds hit the Marder, but one did come close. When I zoomed in to give it a move order, I spotted the wound. I thought it was interesting and posted it with the "SS Zombie Division" moniker for a laugh.

  3. While playing Whitmann's Demise PBEM with a friend, I noticed this Marder crew standing up and doing isometrics. Thought it was unusual to do this while moving into battle, but heck, they may have been feeling cramped. http://imageshack.us/a/img571/4458/marderaerobics2.jpg]
  4. I'm glad someone brought this up. I was getting ready to ask if anyone had developed different style churches and cathedrals for use in building maps/scenarios. There are a lot of vehicle mods, but very few building mods.
  5. The empty bunker question comes from my opponent. He has a couple of wooden bunker which had been occupied by MG teams. I killed the occupants with tank fire. They have been empty for about 10 turns. When he clicked on them now they highlight my units that are in the line of sight of the bunker. The HTs were behind a screen of trees that started taking spotting rounds. I had them move forward around the trees to another screen of trees. There is about 75 yards of open terrain to cross. Halfway across they took MG fire from the right side. All three stopped and showed in "panic" mode. They didn't move and didn't let me command them to move. All the while they sat there taking fire. My opponent was in the process of adjusting his arty when this happened. It landed on target. I think my real question is why the HTs didn't move. Usually they back up or head off in a different direction.
  6. Two questions....... Why does an empty bunker allow a player to see enemy troops that are in it's line of sight? It's EMPTY! Why do HT's stop in open fields when they take MG fire? No one killed in the vehicle. It's regular troop with normal motivation. I just had an entire platoon of armored inf mounted in HT's get annihilated by Arty because they all took MG fire and stopped for 2 turns! (OK, I'm frustrated.)

  8. Wow! Didn't mean to restart the War of 1812! I was simply asking about the Brits because I was working on a scenario in the Italian Campaign where the Brits were the Allied fighting force..... But going forth with the War of 1812 theme, I am an American who visited a small town in Canada called Niagara on the Lake. There is a statue in the central park overlooking Lake Ontario with a plaque. In a very polite manner, the Plaque says: "This is as far as the damn colonials got before we kicked their butt all the way back to Washington DC". I thought it was funny.
  9. I don't know if I missed this question already, but where are the British and Canadian troops in CMFI? They played a major part in the campaign. I looked in the editor and there are only US troops.
  10. Is there a way to transfer a map from CMBN to CMFI? I made a scenario and map (unpublished) depicting another battle in the Italian campaign to be played in CMBN. Now with CMFI out I'd like to rework it and download it under CMFI. I moved the .btt file to the Quick Battle Maps folder in FI, but the scenario editor in CMFI doesn't seem to recognize it. Am I doing something wrong or are the two systems incompatible?
  11. Does anyone know if a barrage of heavy artillery, 105 or 155, clear a minefield? I have a town situated on a hill with a large minefield on one side. It would be nice to destroy the minefield:confused: with a long barrage then send my armor up the hill.

  14. The bunker is green and the MG inside is busy firing at my INF scattered below. The round that appears to have gone through actually bounced off. I finally managed to get a bazooka team behind it and after 4 rounds, it is now taking damage. 3 of the MG team have been killed. I'm hoping it will be KO'ed in the next turn. Unfortunately, the Sherman is still out of AP rounds and my opponent is sending a StugIII in that direction!

  16. My Sherman spotted this bunker dug into a hill overlooking the road I need clear. He first attacked with 75 mm AP rounds from the side about 50 yards away. No affect. I then told him to try hitting it from the rear. He did and again no affect. Now he is facing it at about 12 yards blasting the gun port in the front. For 11 turns he has gone after this Titanium Reinforced bunker without even killing one of the men inside. He has used all of his AP rounds and half the HE.
  17. Thanks for the info. One more thing. How do you post a photo that takes up the available space on the thread? When I try I get the error message telling me the file is larger than 19.5 kb. And if I resize the photo to match that requirement it is about the size of a postage stamp. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  18. It's the quality of the photo. From what I'm seeing on these posts, you guys are getting a better quality. Are you using the free version or the full one? On the free I can only save in BMP mode. I then have to change it to jpeg in another program. Or do you use BMP to post them here?
  19. I have a Win 7 64bit computer. I'm currently using the free version on FRAPS then touching up the shots with PhotoShop, but I'm not happy with the quality of the original shots. Some of the photos posted here are very clear and detailed. What is the best program for screenshots? Free or othetwise. Thanks
  20. I found that the issue was in a mod, but I can't tell which one. So my solution was to uninstall the game, move all the mods to a folder on my desktop, and reinstall both Normandy and Commonwealth, then the V2.0 upgrade. Everything works great. Now I'm slowly reinstalling the vehicle and terrain mods one at a time.
  21. It happens in both saved games and new games. I just started another scenario to test it again and it is still happening. On the 1st turn, I can not have a squad in a HT acquire compatible ammo from the HT. Doesn't matter if I'm playing Normandy or Commonwealth games.
  22. Hey Guys, I'm having an issue and would like to know if anyone else has noticed it. I installed patch 1.11, then upgraded to V2.0. Since then I have not been able to acquire ammo from any vehicle. I've even tried to do it with the squad that originates in the vehicle, no luck. This happens no matter which side I am playing. Is it my machine? or a new bug? Thanks
