  1. Are grapevines going to be in Normandy?

I see entries looking at the Normandy exe. with a Hex editor. (yeah I tried to get vines from Fortress Italy into France but it didn't work.) Entries are BF not mine-don't know how to enable it in the game scenario editor-transferred over all the mdr and bmp files for plants and editor U.I. but no dice.

  2. Step back a bit

    Your playing a game.

I downloaded one scenario-small map with a town. I had mortars but the designer of the scenario didn't really allow for the trajectory of the mortars. Damned if they could get a bead on anything. I don't even know why he put a mortar secrtion in the scenario lineup for the Allies. Poor play testing.

So I went in the map editor and gave me more ground (Of course also had to modify my set up zone different. Never looked where the axis setup was [i was playing Allied])

Don't be constrained doing this if it is a poorly designed map/scenario (i.e. giving yourself more ground.) FWIW

  3. Sequoia:

If you make a scenario for public download put a readme in with the link to the flavor object with your scenario file.

Hope you don't mind-I rolled my own for private use. Combined with another telephone pole mod I did way back for FI.

Did a flavor object 'junk flavor' with an SdKfz. Meh it doesn't provide cover and vehicles can drive through it. [note CMSF telephone/light pole ;) ]

  4. Thanks for the acknowledgements in your pdf umlaut.:)

I should add ANY flavor object can't stop a bullet or hinder line of sight. It's just 'flavor' Not substance.

If 2 players play against each other and want to see a customized flavor object (i.e. GAZ truck) they both have to have the same GAZ flavor object files in their Z folder. Otherwise the game that doesn't have a modded file will default to a cart rather then a Gaz truck.

Really should play more BF-but between playing and modding and editing missions for Arma 2 , Rise of Flight, Total War Napoleon/Empire/ SHOGUN2 [yes you can extend the times in those historical and tutorial battles in SHOGUN 2 :D ), DCS World aircraft and Gravieteam Tactics... so many games so little time

  5. Scroll through the pictures (newly released) is on the right of the photos

Bradley, Patton, Hodges, Collins, Huebner(?), anonymous G.I.s. and a lot of fresh graves.

Patton's face is a real study-but I'd like to know what Bradley was thinking. ;)

Private Lawrence Gordon’s family knew only that he was killed in Normandy when a German shell hit his armored car in August 1944. Gordon’s wallet was sent home to his mother in Canada. Gordon had Canadian citizenship, but he was born to American parents and decided to enlist in the U.S. Army.

    CAUTION: details graves registration procedures.
