Yup and in the hex file there is gibberish. You would need the SDK. Still the Parisian signs give any modder out there ideas for individual signs in town landscapes.

I've been away.

The Americans made a movie on C3K's action at the windmill. Bit of a hot potato though. To spare sensibilities of our English Cousins and preserve that 'Special Relationship' and all that-they changes the locale, army and names.
Trailer. Can you guess who Captain Cooney is.

I sent you this sign (bmp format) and the edges are squared. You should be able to mount it on the SHOCK FORCE flavor signs I sent you.

Use your art program and edit the picture. It's a copy and paste exercise. I'll see what I can do.

Looks like Bill took out your screenshot posting capability. Maybe one of his HQ command halftracks are jamming your bandwidth. Upgrade to Pro and 'burn' through his jamming.

I have to agree on your observations-but I have been to Italy several times and in the South things-even when rundown look cleaner. It is very hot and dry [and dusty]. In Europe up north you have 4 seasons which is hard on buildings.

Thanks for the links. Nice find.

He has those lumbering Panthers and Jagds-but you have the jeep. Mobility is your friend.
Let speed and surprise be your armor.
Tactical innovation is also an ally.

Hi Kohlenklau:
I sent you 2 e:mail messages in reply to your PM. I'm on travel right now.
I suspect-and I'm doing this off the top of my head the MDR (?) file is not referencing the proper Jpeg. Your questions is easy to answer-but I did this months ago and need to look at my work files to jog my memory. If that's the case it's a simple hex or Notepad ++ edit of changing the JPEG number in the MDR file.

The mediafiles are reference are no longer there. Also if I recall the jpeg has to be reveresed backwards in order for it to be oriented properly in the game.

"After the Battle - THEN & NOW: Dutch Windmill Debacle"
There is a run down and ivy covered seldom-visited chapel in the Dutch countryside.
On it's west wall is stained glass panel.
The panel -dedicated to the brave c3k Para's who died so other could live.

The gloves are off now. Spread the word.
NO PRISONERS!

"Honey your square looking trucks and all your men got these red crosses on them now. What does that mean?"

Will the maps have polder? If so how will they effect movement. I didn't see it listed so I imagine not.

Indeed. Somewhere he is playing a harp and telling his stories.
Gawd I'd wished I'd seen that interview with Tom Brokaw. Brokaw looking all serious and earnest as Charles held forth with his stories (which one -the one where he fought hand to hand with one of Adolf's warrior bashing his blond head in with a rock while the German plunged a bayonet into his side?) Yes I remember that one with it's lurid details, blood curdling.... and that's when a glimmer of doubt.... ah well no one was hurt. Least of all the German Soldier.
Into the beer cooler with you Mr. Brokaw.

Hmm which Sherman.
FireflY?
Well we know their transmission won't grenade.
Wish CM modeled mechanic reliability.

So in the end- he was a veteran and a good actor.
Devils always in the details and facts always ruin a good story.
Durning-that's an Irish name.
Ohh those people can tell a story.
It's in their genes.
Let's listen in.

I remember asking my mother one time when I was real young who was President of the United States.
She answered Eisenhower.

Use the Stuart to pound the ********* but don't peek out too far. Spotters and mortars are key. Given the time constraints use patience and caution. Fools rush in on this map. +1 what Sublime said.
I really don't want to ruin it for you. It was a fun map.
I actually beat the AI the first time (Elite level)-but it was bloody and I'd already graduated through the CM: NORMANDY meat grinder so I knew these pixel Germans wouldn't be a pushover.
As I recall the map has several AI plans. So Hans isn't always exactly at the same place.
Welcome to sunny Italy. :^/
Wait when you go Elephant hunting with the Brits haw-haw-haw
