I'm having an issues with BMP-2M. The Turret looks correct from a distance but changes to standard BMP-2 up close. kHKyq8q.jpg

After playing around with Mdr files I strongly suspect it's reading an Mdr file not meant for that particular vehicle. Game bug.

  2. "2. No armored attack is so urgent, even under the most pressing situation, that you do not have time to inform subordinate leaders of the tactical situation, mission objectives, and technical and logistical factors of the impending action. Impetuous action on your part can result in unnecessary loss of men and materials and place the success of the mission in jeopardy.

Which is why some scenarios I open up in my Scenario Editor and give them more time.

  3. Well no crash to desktop when it gets hit. Tough nut to crack by infantry-but doable albeit high casualties if it's loaded with Germans.

SU-152-had no luck with it except when it was right up front to it. From the side or angle it just a lot of explosions and dust .Hit decals showed up-see yellow arrows. I will try to get a BETA uploaded for people to test in a dropbox on the weekend. Just have to drop it in your Z file.

    Not Titanium but Chrome-nickle steel.

    Damn Assad builds them tough.

  4. I've done some magic in my day with Flavor Object MDR files-but that Sun and Light b*****+ is just that-sun and light. But here I got a workable item from the ''vehicle' file.  It's late and I am tired. But I borrowed one of Assad's Bunkers from SHOCK FORCE and put it in Red Thunder and it appears to work. And if this works-we could have an additional bunker toy in Red Thunder/Normandy/FORTRESS ITALY and BLACK Sea. NO SUBSTITUTIONS-and additional bunker.

I just dropped this puppy in the Z folder and let the game engine do it's magic act.

The textures are crap-but I just know we have talented artists.

I do believe I have an ADDITIONAL bunker in the Scenario Editor to choose from. It says 5-but I counted 6 after I deployed them. Scenario editor picks these structures randomly in my  tired mind tonight. Yeah I know a lot of questions-I don't have answers. Didn't crash the simple btt file I created. Had to rearrange/rename and delete some files.

Has that real ORGANIZATION Todt Atlantik Wall look-No?

This is a BETA of A Beta Mod. :lol:CM%20Red%20Thunder%202016-03-14%2018-39-CM%20Red%20Thunder%202016-03-14%2018-37-CM%20Red%20Thunder%202016-03-14%2018-43-

  5. So true. Wartrs. an All

HAHAHAHA I just got out of the editor and did that a few times-but it's still hit or miss. The solution is to reduce the length of travel from 1 meter to something less. Or some other way to freely manipulate the poster.

As an aside-the the solution we both tried works for buildings. But solid walls not so much since the poster is buried in the wall and then you can't get it out.

I tried rotating the poster parallel to wall and walking it backward with Shift click. But really it is an exercise. 1 meter movement is too much.

They are a neat flavor object which really do add atmosphere. But manipulating them in the editor is poorly implemented.

Kohlenklau I also noticed that to when I go in and out of 3 D view- the image you like will not be what will show next time.

    My take-Flavor Objects-posters is buggy.

    Kohlenklau:

Seen you a PM on an unrelated matter regarding graphics.

  6. Lotsa picture of wrecks. More then a few iconic images and old chestnuts that you have seen BUT with the missing sequence photos (PANTHER "Ursula" string is one example).

Some pretty grim (Berlin). Don't know how I missed this site. Very Groggy (in a nice way)-hung up on where brackets are located on some obscure PaKAUFgh mK4 something-or-other.

You could lose an evening here.

  7. Yes-I know. Standing orders Nobody leaves the Bradley without the JAVELIN. NOBODY! I wish there was default "Grab a Handful of JAVELINS before EXIT"

Kornets and Javelins don't ricochet. I also suffer from 'Laser Spook'

    "Did you see that?"

"Yeah-I detected the laser to!!! BACK UP! BACK UP!!! D@MN IT!! BACK UP!!!"

  8. Okay-Thanks. I just have been playing the demo scenario ROLLING THUNDER Getting the hang of using F.O's, artillery, drones, positioning units for cover. I haven't played that scenario to the end-just as a training tool. So I play the opening segment concentrating on  one system at a time. One item that I'm trying to nail down is STINGER placement. I know they have to have a view just trying to figure which angle. But if you say all-aspect then I  just have to have clear shot. I have shot down HINDS-but not as many as I would like.

It was so much safer in the hills of Italy, bocage of Normandy and facing the Syrian Army. At least you had a chance they would miss once. :^/

  9. Do I want my men to be positioned to take on HINDs at the  Russians attack helo 6 O'clock since it's infrared homing???  Or are the latest Stingers ALL azimuth?

I pretty much made up my mind I have to have these man-pads exposed-just a question of what direction should I  anticipate the attack and best way to take advantage of direction of attack.
