  1. Someone offer JonS the budget to this screenplay. I wan't to see the effectiveness of Poe's law. They do the film in all seriousness, and we see how many Americans spot the subtext.
  2. ...and now I definitely feel good about being but one autumn of age on december 26, 1991.
  3. Ragarded the sexual assault, all people should know that the sex was consensual, and the qualms about him not wearing a condom came later (because when one woman was banging with him, she was unaware of his "multiple dealings", and thus didn't fear STDs). So she stated that he refused to put on a condom retroactively. He may have not been transparent, but I think he didn't commit rape. Well, I see this thread has enough gasoline dripping from it, so I sidestep.
  4. But I bet Hyde park on a Sunday afternoon has more soapboxes and less cranky grogs.
  5. Image is quite small, can't work out the details. Since FASTDRAW is written all in caps, I assume it's another jolly acronym?
  6. Hope the last phrase is not serious - just meaning if it's your mood lately or just a general interest. The Spugnardi thing is hilarious.
  7. Hey, diesel, what's up with all these doom threads you put up lately?
  8. Ah. I'll meditate on that while I gorge myself and watch basketball euroleague news at dinner. C'ya.
  9. Ignorant about the meaning of "F" in FMBT, and FCS and MGV. MANPADS was hard enough for me to learn.
  10. pheeeew. I'll have to actually give some credit to the American armed forces, then. Still rooting more for an Euroarmada, though.
  11. I'm thinking more extremophile archaea. You know, the one who live in boiling ocean trenches and nobody can bother.
  12. Hmmm. Then they'd be smart. But I do have read american proposals for that, or was I daydreaming?
  13. I concur, but you know that the fatcats like those shiny things, so... how long? A diagnosis? And once again yes, **** unmanned tanks
  14. Mmmmh. But looking at future prospects, some experts say robotics will shift from predators to everything else, slowly. What do you think the remaining lifespan of the MBT as we know it will last?
  15. Or every assault rifle, since it's a different class of round entirely? I'm sure the Mosin Nagant could compete, but I wouldn't bring it in a cityfight.
  16. Yeah, it would definitely belong to a sci-fi movie if revamped. Speaking of old tanks... how unrealistic it is that one of Warhammer 40k's heaviest tanks around is a refurbishing of the basic english glory, the Mark I? Side sponsons and no turret, come on... I guess that would allow some pretty heavy armour, but the weapon flexibility?
  17. Sounds so latin. Hope it feels latin too. Ok, back to them. ehm... oh, yes! Why the hell the Kuegelpanzer abandoned? Or, it should be rephrased, why was it introduced in the first place? So strange. I can only think of balance as an advantage.
  18. Go for it man! And yes, I admire the feminine wonders of the eastern Europe I fled (even if it's the southwesternmost part of eastern Europe). I plan to do a complete road trip up and down culminating in Russia. If I don't get stuck forever in Munchen, paradise.
  19. Don't know. What do you/they study? Can they tell how fast the kuegelpanzer went? It all depends. We can start with our oun "the fresh prince of Toruń". Let me tell how my life got turned upside down, when I got to be the tank dude in town...
  20. There's no "If". Patton is killed by a rogue cart (planted by the soviets all along). Zhukov wins by a landslide. The english freak out instead of keeping calm and carrying on. Soviet victory by landslide. The end.
  21. So, question to the players: are taliban-grinding scenarios like operation magistral of the late eighties present? I won't be satisfied without paratrooper hill and raining fire on the mujs with artillery and Mil mi-24s.
  22. I know, but, you understand, the vague feeling that the screen gives is different than meatspace. The bold numbers gave me the impression of being a mentally challenged person chastised by a tutor. But you are, after all, the tank prince of the white and red, so I'll bow my head.
  23. Diesel... tried to get the waters calm here... your first statement re-stirs all...
  24. Well, that's a quick way out for such people.
  25. The most positive way to enforce good behavior without being tyrannical about it is showing concretely, in some way, the consequences of certain actions and suffering to people. Empathy is the strongest way. And, if they're unfeeling sociopaths, they'll do bad stuff anyway. Seriously, being a dick is one of the worst things a person can be, be it from small day-ruinig actions to large scale scams, exploitations, etc.
