I was tempted to design a scenario for CMBB where at the start of the game Soviet recon troops had infiltrated German lines and were holed up where they could observe without being seen in return. I wonder now if somebody will take that idea and run with it.
Michael
Ok.
I'll see what I can do with that idea.

So playing the Gog and Magog scenario.
Having lots of fun with tank ballet.
Very fast german heavy artilery likes to snipe individual pixeltruppen.
AI is ham-fisted. Would like to try against a human one day. -
Potentially Germany would have almost matched Russia in regards to manpower as well if they had utilized the resentment towards Stalin in the occupied territories
Thats a very good "if".
Unfortunately it ignores the racial fantasys underlying Nazi policy.
Potentialy Germany could have started the war in the east with twice as many army surgeons if they had not turned on some of their own religious minoritys.

Drive to a covered point near high ground.
Then dismount and walk to high ground.

Many years ago I became freinds with an old german WW2 veteran.
Most fanatical anti-nazi you would ever find. -
Parbleu DaftLaurier. I take it you want to pass for a Frenchman? The French famous for their cuisine. Hmmmm, let's see.
Outside of the US, who has the most McDonald’s? Yup, it's the home of Freedom Fries itself, France. When Burger King opened up in Paris in November, people stood in line an hour and a half to order. As it turns out, the French love their fast food, and more importantly, they love burgers. In a recent study, 1/3 of restaurants cited the hamburger -- sorry, "le hamburger" -- as their top-selling dish. Which is probably why one out of every two sandwiches sold in France is in fact, a hamburger. In 2007, it was one out of every seven. Au revoir jambon beurre. The fallout is that nowadays about one in 10 adults in France is obese, and almost 40% of the entire population is overweight.Incroyable! Ce n'est pas vrai, he! Mais oui, ces't vrai! Turns out inside every Frenchman, is an American trying to get out. An overweight American.Blessings PanzerMouse.
I'm just a trained chef who proudly salutes his worthy MontPellier ancestor who hastily set sail for New France after a dispute over the ownership of a chicken... And who wisely married a mohawk girl.
Ah Paris. the unwiped rectal whorifice of a nation. Her effluent is the Seine, which seeps noxiously into the channel. Alas a large chunk has caught betwixt Wales and Scotland. Wouldst that all the Isle du France region might flow downstream, and wash ashore on Norfolk, where hygene is equaly distained.
So when didst thou get out of your frenchman????

As our wonderful President likes to say; Thats not who we are as Americans. Its the right thing to do when we shun what the Dutch like to call cuisine.
Dutch?
Cuisine?
Mon Dieu!
There is no such animal. It there were we would sautee it in butter and wine untill it was edible, and feed it to our enemy's dogs

Why? Are you signing out each time you finish a session?
Michael

Nice new forum.

Wait a second...either I am insane or all of these ISU-122's got radios after I started my game again...
I'll take "yes" to both.
-
I find that "mixed" usualy means 18 to 24 tanks, plus a FO or a LMG team
-
I know it's a small thing but there is something about that KV-1 tank that greatly interests me and I would like to drive and fight them. I know it's maybe silly but hey that's just me. I'll probably just wait until they get included in a game someday.
I suspect they may be developing an expansion for CMRT. And said expansion may contain, among other things, the KV.
Personaly I'm hoping for an early war pack that includes the BT series, naval infantry, and partisans. But I'm not letting that preclude me from enjoying a basic game that focuses exclusively on a particular area and time frame.
-
Am thinking about buying the game but when reviewed the different vehicles noticed that no mention of this tank being in the game. Is this correct?
The lack of a KV tank is a small matter.
Buy the game. I did.

So here's the idea.
A german force (understrength battalion) is at the east end of a largish map.
They need to evacuate to the west end.
Russian forces are coming from the north to try to pin them against a river to the south.
I am a bit purplexed by the AI.
How to make the German AI move west as a single mass. And the Russian AI to move to block them???
Advise would be welcomed
I'm thinking of a longish map.

I speak only english.
Would love to learn Michif, which is my people's own language.
-
Anybody know what movie this is?
I wonder if there's a english dubbed version.

At the very least, a Stalingrad and Leningrad module.
Covering from the summer of 42 till the summer of 43.

I do have one complaint...
The italians have no snipers, and no AT rifles.
-
Let loose the dogs of war!
My dogs prefer to conquer the couch.
-
plays nice.
-
Never mind...
Its zero.
ok. Lets see how it plays
-
Well I got home from my morning rounds, and guess what was propped agaist my door.... Yep. The game.
So I installed it.
Now the serial number is being a pain.
It shows on the box as all upper case, plus a "O" with a stroke through it.
Is that a Oh? or a Zero?
Do I put spaces where the dashs are?
-
If you're never played any of the games in the series, you're in for
a wonderful time. I've been playing the series since the original
"Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord" came out about 14 years ago.

Oddball-CAF
I've been playing CMBB since forever ago. And CMAK
I have CMBN, and the CWF disk.
Look up a member named Corvidae

Why? I think a lone mortar battery, or lone howitzer battery would be better.
A scout team with radio, and LOS to the enemy... with just enough support to ruin the other side's day
