  1. I don't think that the game engine has a way to portray a penetrating hit to some part end then deflect to somewhere else. So in this case it wont show that the hit penetrated the skirts and then hit side armor and was stopped there. It only shows the initial hit and if it penetrated all the way inside the tank or not. Shouldn't be a game breaker, or is it?

    If this was the case then it would also show the penetrating hit to the side armor and other hit inside the tank which didn't penetrate the other side of the tank. Or if it did then it would show the hit for the exit.

  2. Does anyone know how the end of the quick battles is decided? I'm playing PBEM game which had 45min original game time, but now we are already 10mins overtime and the game still has not ended.

    I thought there is some kind of randomly inserted extra time, but this is just going and going. It's a good thing for me as I have had more casualties during the game but I'm making prgress to flush the opponent out of the victory area so every extra turn is big benefit for me. I won't win if the game ends when my oppo is in the victory area, but the extra time I have gained does not feel right.

    Is there some kind of "intelligence" in the QB's that the battle will go on if the victory area is still under combat?

  3. I just made a test with Tiger I and 10 M3A1's with quite weird result. I stacked the M3's side by side and positioned the Tiger for a flank shot about 300m's. The first round penetrated 3 first M3's and 4th got hit to wheels, then 5th didn't hit at all, 6 and 7 where again hit to the wheels, 8 and 9 were missed completely and then again penetrated the 10th. Some of the M3's were destroyed and some not. The 2nd shot took out the rest of them. So the flight path of the 88mm round in the first shot is pretty much impossible so definitely some tweaking will be needed

  4. I'd hit the reverse and fast! Even though the firefly is easily able to knock out the panther the panther can knock out the firefly even easier. So it's not advisable to stay in a shootout with panther. Move your tank to cover and when the panther is pointing again to another direction bring you fly back into action.

    I just lost my firefly in one pbem game against jagdpanzer IV with one shot... I had another Sherman shooting the IV for a while with no damage. It took few hits but no major damage. Then I drove a firefly to finish the JpzIV with bad results... Firefly shot once and missed and Jpz shot once and knocked the firefly out with first shot...

And this might be too much to ask at this point, but do you guys have done any decisions about adding Finnish forces to some of the many modules which will be out if the EF is going to have own base game for each year? You might not have decided which title/module it will be in, but I hope you have not already decided yet that they will not be in any title/module.

  6. Also it will be quite difficult to play the PBEM games and try to keep up with the different patches or upgrades. Basically you will need two version of each game and can delete the older version when all the pbem's with that version has finished.

    But I don't care about that! I'm sure I will buy all the new Families/Titles/Upgrades/Mods/Packs or whatever will be available! Last few days have been quite awesome. I first read about the CMFI and was really happy that another base game will be out soon! Wasn't believing my eyes when I later read about the one year release plan!

  7. It took just a bit over a year to reach the same amount of mods and stuff as the Shock Force has after 5 years! Thanks to you the visuals of the game has been improved a lot which makes an already excellent game even better! Not to underestimate the original work from BFC but the modders have made a huge boost to the game!

    I have loaded huge amount of mods (Z folder is 4GB) and have not thanked the makers of the individual mods, so hereby I thank you all and hope you keep up the good work!
