  1. I can't understand the original post and more generally the American attitudes for foul language vs. brutal violence... It's very very weird that saying the F-bomb is somehow very horrible and blowing people to pieces is not...

    I remember that when the Saving Private Ryan was released some veteran organization stated that the movie was very realistic but the language was too foul... WTF... I'm pretty sure that in any military organization all around the world a lot of cursing is normal way.

    And does the game have any age restrictions?

  2. The sounds are going to be mod fodder, so I doubt it will take long for alternate weapons and chatter sounds to arrive.

    Given the increasing lack of ear witnesses to the actual events, I wonder what would be more popular with the gaming public...A game that sounds like the films and shows we've seen about the war, or a game that re-created the actual sounds as closely as possible?

    I would opt for the real sounds over Hollywood sounds but I'm sure it would take sh*tloads of time and effort to get every sound right.

    But hopefully the sounds are not the same as in CM:SF because I think its a big factor in proper immersion.

  3. How have the game sounds been done? Have you been recording the sounds of the actual weapons used in the game? If yes, did you have all the small arms used in the game or do some weapons have "wrong" sounds? And how about the vehicles, did you rev up your cars in the backyard or how authentic they are?

  4. I have a big problem with the game crashing very often after the briefing when i try to start the game... Quick battles without briefing and games saved in the middle of the battle works fine, but scenarios or campaign games crash very often in the start. Same happens with the CM:A and CM:SF.

    In the event viewer i get this error message:

    "Virhesovellus cm shock force.exe, versio 0.0.0.0, moduuli nvoglnt.dll, versio 6.14.11.9038, osoite 0x004f5bb4."

    Virhesovellus = application

    moduuli = module

    versio = version

    osoite = address

    Any idea what might cause this problem? Dll file seems to be NVIDIA Compatible OpenGL ICD, but i have not gotten any problems with it with other applications.

  5. This question would fit also to the CM:SF forum, but will ask it here. Whats the best place to find opponents for PBEM games? Have not found too many opponent request here on BF forums but where you guys find opponents? Is there any working ladder, clan or website or whatever thats still up and running with CM:SF PBEM games? And when the CM:BN is launched will definitely want to play PBEM games with real human opponents rather than just AI.

    If there's not any proper website to find opponens should we set up here a thread or forum section where you can look for opponents for PBEM games?

  6. I think the problem is solved. I turned off my virus scanner (F-secure) and internet connection and after that the CM:A loaded correctly to the opening screen. Didn't try further than that yet, but seems that for some reason my virus scanner blocked the program without giving any notes of that...

  7. Hi,

    I just bought and installed CM:A but having some problems with it... The game just does dot start to load but crashes immediately when click the icon on my desktop... I downloaded the demo and it works fine. I also registered my license so it should not be problem either.... Has anyboy any ideas what might cause this? Have to say that the CM:A experience did not start to well...
