  1. It's the file name, and yes it is a code of sorts.

USMC - the scen is for the Marines module

Cmpn - the scen is for the campaign

Dancing in Damascus - is the scen name

vE - the version of the scen. There is some admin overhead in versioning scenarios, because you have to edit the campaign script each time you version any of the scens, but overall I find it worthwhile.

The 'code' is a personal thing I use to keep the scenarios together when looking for files in MS Explorer, etc. The file name is not used 'inside' the scen ... unless you choose to use the full file name as the scen name, or sumfink.

oh ofcourse, the scenario name (facepalm) this is just a code to know which scenario is which, cheers

  2. nice try but utterly pointless. NATO is in pre order status in case you did not notice, so there is exactly nothing major added anymore.

Ps.: dont take it personal, i find the FAMAS the most ugly assault rifle in the western world. even the british bullpop is a beauty compared to it.

i agree, and i have to say, a rifle must have some sort of beauty to it, maybe beacause its french...........

  3. Concurrent questions:

Is Syrian CAS against Blue realistic/likely? I would reckon not. Wouldn't Syrian helicopters and/or fast-movers be interdicted before they got within engagement range of the typical CM:SF battlefield or destroyed on the ground in the first place? Besides, I surmise that coming under sudden sharp air attack, even if a few helos/jets and fuel bowsers remained intact afterward, would be quite an inducement to forgo taking off.

this is why red CAS wasnt included in previous versions (due to the stated reasons) but as players wanted more and more :) battlefront included it in NATO

  4. Snipers with Dragunovs should not have any better spotting ability at night, it's not like their scopes are going to suddenly remove darkness or something. I don't know if the vehicles have a rudimentary NOD, but on these types of missions, my prime spotter/killers have been BMPs.

yeah, lol, in that mission 99.9% of the kills where BMP related

and well here the manual extract, not exactly as i described it either:

"Introduces Interface limitations, such as : friendly units need to be spotted aswell as enemis so you can control them, if not you just have to scroll down the chain of command to find them"

actually does this mean if one of my units loses radio or LOS with a command unit it get "cut off" and you need to establish radio contact or LOS again to see them?
