hello people
ive been trying to make a mechanized company role up to a small town and occupy certain buldings.
i did some testing on a test map with the assault command to the whole company which led to the BMPs rolling up to the building dismounting the infantry and then occupying the buildings, yet when i tried this on my map they only rolled up to the buildings and stayed there. its my fault obviously i havnt given the right commands and im trying to do it the easy way
what commands would i have to give to a company to move up to a town and occupy 3 or 4 buildings? thanks! and sorry for the bother

I'm currently playing the Marines campaign and re-loving it all over again. Definitely the best module out of the existing three in my honest opinion. The British module is as hard as nails. You just wait and see. I can't believe how under-armed and under-powered they seem in comparison to the US. It makes me wonder how on earth the British forces are able to do anythng at all in Afghanistan.
welcome to europe

Elmar Bijlsma : One last thing .
Speaking of this amazing new l33t campaign system that's so awesome: when are you going to let me progress past Night Stalkers? It's been three years. Wouldn't happen to have a spare programmer for that, would you
Seconded

No, there is no way to change the briefing format at present. Sorry.
roger that I shall have to live with it! thank you very much.
-
to creat the initial briefing is there anyway to get rid of the enemy forces, friendly forces weather etc layout or is it hardcoded? i know deleting the entried from the text file dont work . EG: I wish to imput just a couple of lines as the briefing but i get it under enemy forces and the rest are empty (ofc).
is there anyway? thanks!

one thing, i know its off topic and im sorry to ask it here. i know WEGO refers to the turn based but what do the letters actually stand for?? thanks!

I never got this debate, unless you're one of those uber special soldiers, you get hit with a bullet in the flesh you're going down, it might not kill you but it'll make the threat you pose be significantly decreased.
yeah, not to argument against you but its supposed to have something to do with the "stopping power" of the bullet. stating that 5.56 dosnt have the "umpf" of a 7.62.

one question. ive started experimenting with AI orders in the scenario editor, but whenever i create one, try it out on scenario author mode or even close the scenario editor the plans dont save...(ofcourse i save the file before exiting). do i have to do more or is it just me? thanks!

So the ultimate role of these AT missile vehicles in CMSF is to fire their expensive guided missile systems into trenches of conscript troops? And in fact not even particularly effective in that role?
To me that means one of a couple of things: The units themselves aren't particularly useful in REAL LIFE or
The game does a poor job of modeling their capabilities.
all weapons are useful given the right circumstances

ah thank you!!!

support targets?
yeah I see support targets blue and red, i see setting what targets and a menu that sais destroy supress or smoke... i see how this fits what is going to fall but is there no way to asign an area target instead of a point? thanks!

im fiddling about with the editor, and trying to find all my doubts on the forum but i cannot find how to make a preplanned arty strike at the beggining of the mission? any guides or just a way to do? thanks!!

Thank you again

As long as they unlicensed the game it'd still be usable. But you do run the risk of them not having bothered to do that.
No.
Nope and in fact I highly recommend you do. After you purchase the game you can only download it for a year. So hang onto that install file!
thank you ever so much !

ok so 2 or so more questions pls
1. so basically if I buy a second hand CMSF base game i risk no been able to activate the game dew to an already used CD key?
2. does the game have to be registered online to battlefront.com? i dont think so but just to make sure.
3. if i buy a download version of any of the games here, could I save or burn that info onto a disk or another storage device to keep it as a hard copy? or would this be illegal?
thanks!

For a Fourth of July weekend only special, it will come packaged with an M4. Helluva deal eh!
jeje ill be sure to rush and buy it!
another question is it preferable to buy a new copy of CMSF or can i buy it cheaply second hand for my friend? if i remember correctly there was some kind of cd key that might be usless second hand? thanks

hey there, ive been planing on buying the mail version of the marines+british pack. I just have one question. the product they send is a CD/DVD right? as in a hard copy which i can keep forever? thanks.
PS: not that it makes any diference but does it come with any special packaging to keep the game in?
cheers!

lol, im liking already

I like the idea but not the examples, CMSF is about "small scale" battles, the sams would be eliminated either by air or other means. i dont think modern units attend this job.
my opinion

i just finshed "counterattack" lost about 8 men KIA and 16 wounded, cant remeber the enemies lossed but severe. big mention to my challenger 2 tank which destroyed more that 30 vehicles and perished, along with its crew near the end of the battle, victorias cross for sure surely an epic mission.
