  1. well i dont thing a UAV is the best type of CAS for a combat mission. those UAVs that target HVTs ussually stalk them or follow them around until they strike and are ussualy CIA manned. during a conflict its much better to use aircraft than a UAV, atleast in todays battlefield

the identifying enemy units could be useful although i dont know if units in a conflict like that would be "armed" with small UAVs like in afghanistan

  2. Playing Halt! Hammerzeit PBEM. AT-5 hits one of my Leopards and kills the driver, but leaves the tank otherwise operational with only minor damage. Crew panics and dismounts from the tank. When their panic subsided, I was able to recrew the tank and happly drive off, eventhough it appeared that only the commander, gunner and loader stations were manned. As far as I could tell, it was operating with a full turret crew and no driver, but still moving about.

well, i got hit with an AT-3, frontal armour but juuuuuust hit the bottom of the cannon...and yes the tank burned and all the cew died

  3. try planning out the whole operation before you start, taking into accound your reinforcements and the time they will take to arrive,

for example, "I have 1st and 2nd platoon with me now, with 3rd + air support on reinforcements, ok i will atack objective 1 with these 2 platoons, then use 3rd as a reserve to attack objective 2 with support from the air" or something along those lines :) it helped me with that situation

  4. In the German campaign I got pretty attached to my guys, in one mission I lost half a squad to an RPG and thought "bugger that!" and I let loose every 155mm shell on the village, didn't take any more fire ;)

Another thing is to remember what you're fighting and what you have. If the enemy is lightly armed I tend to use the MBT's as bullet magnets to discover the enemy locations, then I pour fire on them and advance my lighter stuff up. After that anything that looks suspicious receives about 10 seconds of continuous fire from everything in sight - usually a lot :D

yeah sounds familiar :D, with germany every soldier you loose is a hinderance

thats the thing, draw fire from a distance, pummel it, movin closer, pummel it abit more and storm!
