  1. Kinda guessing here guys, but I suspect discussing a competitor (even in the terms above; that is fairly negatively) might be against the forum rules? Lockup incoming?

Well i figured since the game is ww2 eastern front the Red thunder page would get me the most feedback. I also do not feel like the game is direct competition with CM. Also im not sitting saying "omg guys buy this game its wayyy better!" im just seeing what like minded people who tried it thought of it.

  2. Well I have to be honest I actually play CM in real time ( i know i know) lol I just pause it and give orders or pause it when i want to check stuff out. I find that in WeGo i often have to just sit there and watch some of my not so great ideas play out for a whole 60 sec. which is painful. In RT i can quickly cancel a bad order.

  3. And the second victim is the local WW2 museum it seems.

Somalia -1990s. Looks like there is not a single post-1945 weapon present. Also note the horrible trigger discipline of the girl/boy in the front!

actually i think amny STGs survived ww2. I know Hungary used them up till the mid 80s im sure other countries used them post war also. Recently a whole cache was discovered in the middle east. So im sure the remaining STGs used by some countries were sold to africa and the middle east.

  4. That would probably be appropriate, but the initials for it would be the same as those for Gustav Line, which would lead to confusion. Might be better to go with Liberation of Rome, or something like that.

    Michael

Well i was reading about the gothic line (very briefly) and i got the assumption that italians were part of the gothic lines defense. I had asked before why no scenarios in Gustav line had italians in them and someone had said they werent really fighting on main land italy. If one of you arm chair historians wants to enlighten me feel free:p

  5. What do you whiners and moaners pay for cable tv / other streaming services every month? I can’t grasp why the extra content at very reasonable prices is a problem (its not like you pay 85$ at once, it’s done over years). If you don’t like or think it’s too expensive, save money to buy later or don’t. But do you have to bitch and moan every time something new is released?

What if CMBN was never upgraded and left behind like CMBO? I would stop playing it, all value lost. Now I can continue to enjoy it as the series keeps developing, getting better and better. That comes at a cost; BFC decides that cost based on their business to make it worthwhile and a win for them.

You can’t compare with DLC prices for major game companies like Activision/SEGA etc. – they have so many more customers to delude the price on.

Keeping CM up to date comes at a cost, a reasonable cost, and I’m more than willing to pay it to keep the best game ever up to date and to keep improving.

Its the people like you that dont add anything to discussion or help when someone posts and idea or suggestion. Your overall statement is reasonable, but you start off with an insult and now whoever you were talking about has disregarded your statement.

  6. The bulge should be interesting, in terms of the winter conditions and there is a lot of detail about the battles so there should be some good campaigns for it too.

For me when we were spoilt for choice with CNBB, while i was curious to see the poor weapons and formations in 41, it was 43+ that was of real interest with all the great tanks etc.

I actually bought CMBB not to long ago just to see the early war in CM series and i was shocked by the amount of content in it compared to a CM2 game lol I couldnt get into it due to the odd scaling of the infantry i found it to be really unimpressive. I did play a few games as Finland, Italy, and Romania which i hope to see some of those minors in a CM2 east front module or game
