  1. in the long run, it'll make you happy.  No more worrying about patch order etc.  I would consider removing everything first.  I don't think it is necessary, but it makes for a cleaner process.

i got it installed and played barkmanns corner or whatever its called so i think its fine

  2. From a technical and performance standpoint CMBS is king. In fact, I got $20 off by not upgrading CMBN and CMFI to 3x. Although they all use the same "engine" there is no comparison when CMBS required new models and who knows what else. I think BN and CI (and all the mods) run just fine in 2x. I simply don't see the value in upgrading. When they do a new module, then I'll buy in.

but the hit decals on the vehicles is worth 10 bucks alone i love seeing where the shell went through

  3. So i just got around to buying the 3.0upgrades for CMFI and CMBN i Dled CMFI and it was like 25mb and labeled as CMFI 3.00 upgrade Then i went to DL the CMBN upgrade and it was labeled Combat mission battle for normandy was like 10 gigs is something wrong? i feel like it should not be that large

  4. CMSF was a great 1st New Modern. I still play CMSF because it is FUN :)

CMBS is a whole other world of New Modern... almost 8 years more mature... in a different environment with much more equivalent...  BANG!

WWII tactics are a solid foundation to understand what is possible in New Modern lordhedgwich.. so in many ways you are ahead in the learning curve having WWII CM experience... in my opinion.

until some kind of ATGM takes me out from 2000m in one hit i dont feel so ahead of the learning curve then lol

  5. "It is obviously very difficult to verify information when:

    1. There is almost no freedom of the press in Russia

    2. The Russian government is lying on a daily basis

    3. The Russian government is spending hundreds of millions Dollars on disinformation

    4. The Internet promotes gossip

    5. Ukraine's government started out with a credibility problem"

I feel like the U.S. government lies just as much as the Russian government. just throwing that out there

  6. Well, anybody that played CMSF or Afghanistan knows how far removed the newest titles are from them. Pretending there's a comparison is just an excuse to grind an axe. I'd go so far to say that SF is almost as different to CMBN as CMAK was to SF. And THAT distance is only increasing which is fine as **** with me. You can upgrade the engine until I am dead. It seems to work for Steel Beasts.

    Mord.

I agree SF is hard for me to get into due to how far removed it is from the newer WWII titles and i havent bought CMAF due to the fact they are so different. I wouldnt mind a new engine, but this one should do fine for at least a few more years

  7. What? Really?? I do not agree with this post.

See my specs below for my desktop workstation...

CM even runs like a charm on my other system (a 17.3" Samsung gaming laptop).

I think he is just saying for dated graphics and somewhat poor special effects the engine runs bad.. I however like CMs graphics especially with mods :D

The one thing i hate is how the map is just kind of floating in endless space lol.
