Mali Mod - v1.0 This download contains a rar file of amended Syrian reserve and regular infantry uniforms, helmets and faces for the Syrian soldier model.It also includes new splash screens, street signs, names and music. The mod seeks to represent Malian Government forces for red on red battles.Choose Syrian infantry on one side and uncoventional forces for the other.I'd recommend using it alongside my Irregulars Mod (Basic CMSF) if you want to depict the current conflict in Mali. Although the enclosed files comprise a three-pack of unrelated scenarios, I refer to this offering as a trilogy simply because these missions are my first attempt at delving into the CMBN Editor for purely recreational purposes -- despite having explored it in great detail for other more inventive reasons in the past. (Note: Please read the in-game Designer Notes for more details.) The battles included in this package are all fictitious, small scale infantry-only actions. They are as follows: Beach Front Property - In an amphibious landing, a company of U.S. infantry hits the shore on the western side of the Cotentin Peninsula in support of the post D-Day ground operations. Their objective is to seize a Coastal Manor overlooking the beach as well as the seaside road that partitions it from the nearby village. Primrose Path - Segregated from friendly forces during a violent German counterattack, the remnants of a U.S. infantry platoon escape destruction yet find themselves lost in the Norman hinterland/countryside behind enemy lines. In their desire to escape their desperate situation (and a rain squall), they come across an oxcart foot path that leads them towards their destiny. The Deutsch Mark - In a daring night raid, a tiny band of highly-motivated, elite U.S. paratroopers is airdropped well behind enemy lines in order to locate a single individual.   8. This is my finally finished map of a ca. 4x4km area (very detailed!) to the northwest of Caen, where heavy combat took place between German and Allied forces. Featured are the villages Franqueville, Authie, Buron, Saint-Contest, Gruchy, Cussy, Bitot as well the Abbaye Ardennes and the Hameau de Saint-Louet. The area is very open with large fields between the villages and relatively flat. It is based on aerial photographies from 1944 and 1947 and mostly true to the real world (as much as the given tools and my skills permit).Performance: The map itself runs -despite its size- very smothly on my PC, but that is without any units. Loading times are pretty excessive, though, Up to 7 minutes. The general idea is for people to use smaller parts of the map to create their own scenarios on them, for instance the 12th SS assault on Authie and Buron on June 7th or the Canadian assault on Cussy in July. For that you have my full permission.The file includes the map itself plus a number of template files which can be used for briefing graphics with little adjustments.Note that I consider this a lite version, with relatively few flavour objects. An even more detailed version will probably uploaded at a later time.The map itself does not require the Commonwealth module, but no American forces were involved in the fighting North of Caen and SS, British and Canadian forces were heavily involved there.   10. 12 German SS helmet covers. File naming is compatible with CM Battle for Normandy 2.0/2.01. To use with other versions,(1.11 or CW module) the names will have to be changed. They are not historically accurate. Field modified is closer to the truth. Feel free to improve, change, or if they aren't to your taste delete them. For this mod I used the the game standard "smoke black" texture, and the "explosiona006" texture.All I did was copy and rename the files as the tank muzzle fire files.I think it gives a more realistic muzzle fire in game.   21. **For CMBN v2.01 **Vin's animated text mod for CMBN v2.01 (Including Commonwealth module)Concept by VinnartGraphics by Marco BergmanThis mod changes the soldier stat text to make it easier to distinguish the actions of each soldier in the squad, and separate teams within the squad by use of type styles, and symbols. It gives the text an "animated" feel, and gives the player a clearer picture of the actions at a glance. The mod contains two versions. One is "heavy”, and one is "light" with the only difference in the two being the action "Spotting". The “heavy” version uses a symbol of an "eye" to show the action. The “light” version maintains the word as a kind of filter that can be ignored making the more important symbol actions stand out. Other than that all graphic symbols in the "legend" are used.
