  2. **For CMFI v1.12 ONLY **Vin's animated text mod for CMFI v1.12Concept by VinnartGraphics by Marco BergmanThis mod changes the soldier stat text to make it easier to distinguish the actions of each soldier in the squad, and separate teams within the squad by use of type styles, and symbols. It gives the text an "animated" feel, and gives the player a clearer picture of the actions at a glance. The mod contains two versions. One is "heavy”, and one is "light" with the only difference in the two being the action "Spotting". The “heavy” version uses a symbol of an "eye to show the action. The “light” version maintains the word as a kind of filter that can be ignored making the more important symbol actions stand out. Other than that all graphic symbols in the "legend" are used. To use the mod place either the "heavy", or "light folder inside either:"My Documents/Battlefront/Combat Mission/Fortress Italy/Game Files/User Data/Mods" folder.OR(game install folder)/Data/z folder.Customising the text: ( For experts only.)To change anything to your preference you can draw the symbols in the “string” text file using the number code that is on the font explain pic. To draw hold down the Alt key while pressing the numbers on the NUMBER PAD ONLY, then release the alt key. You will see a symbol then appear where you have typed, but the graphic symbol will show in the ga... More...

  6. Birdsong instead of background combat. This mod replaces the background combat sounds with pure birdsong/nature background. Why use it? Use it, if you - like myself - don´t like random combat sounds in the background that aren´t related to the actual game you´re playing. When I hear an MG or grenade in the game I want to be sure that is in fact because someone is firing an MG or a throwing a grenade - not just the background sound file. If you feel the same way, then you should use this "mod" (it hardly qualifies as a mod: I´ve simply found a birdsong/meadow sound file and adjusted the length and sound levels). WARNING!!Ornithologists ("bird grogs") might notice that some of the birds singing may in fact not be residents of France or the Netherlands. This is because the sounds are actually recorded in Denmark, more precisely western Jutland. Thus, this sound mod may render your gaming experience zoologically inaccurate.Place in your "z" folder - or maybe your "zz" folder if you have other soundmods installed. More...

  8. It is the night of July 9th, 1943. The invasion of Sicily is about to begin. The rest of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne division are due to start the invasion shortly after midnight but first a team of pathfinders must mark the drop zone (DZ). How the pathfinders perform in this mission will help determine the course of the airborne operations and indeed the invasion. Fictitious playable as the US vs the AI only. More...

  10. Vin Geometric FoW icons - CMFI v.2-Thanks, and credit to the original modders Wolfe, Juju, and Bil (engineer symbol) from whose mods I used as a base to make this. For my part I did the necessary color changes, and made the geometric FOW icons. I think many will find this to be practical, and useful in reading the enemy contacts especially when many FOW icons are present.UPDATE v.2 features:*Fixed missing italian truck icon.*New, unique bullet shape icon for AT guns.*More color options for FoW icons. Allied: Olive green (default) Khaki (optional) Bright green (optional stock color) Axis: Grey (default) Tan (optional)This mod has two unique features: Geometric FOW icons, and a 2-color code system per side.Geometric FOW icons –Advantages:*Makes FOW icons smaller by losing the “?” which is no longer necessary.*Gives each FOW icon it’s own unique shape to make them more distinct. Two color coding system per side for function -Axis - (red = spotted, grey = FOW) - default Allied - (blue = spotted, olive green = FOW) - defaultAdvantages:*Allows much greater visual distinction of SPOTTED enemy contacts from FOW enemy contacts.*Spotted icons pop out from the FOW icons giving the player a more organized view of the enemy situation. One will see through eye directing that they concentrate easier on what is spotted from a sea of FOW icons. Player’s will notice the spotted icons stand out while FOW icons become... More...
  11. Full color command buttons mod. This mod changes the command buttons to full color. I tweaked some of the darker colors so they "light" up better when selected. It can be used with both CMBN and CMFI, or can be used in conjunction with other UI mods by adding a few “z’s” to the mod folder title such as “zzzfull color command buttons”Enjoy, More...
