You cannot do simultaneous turns with SC. It works well, but will have a very different feel from HOI. I like it a lot better, more crisp and not all bizarre like what happens in realtime games.

The regular cross flags look better. I decided I would rather use them. There may be some swastikas in the multi-media pics, in fact I am sure there are, at least in mine.

I wouldnt recommend my scenario until you play the standard one first. The smaller size will be better suited for a beginning player.

never mind - I actually realized I don't need to do that - but thanks

How do you change National Colors in a scenario?

You can also set the whole PC or all the drives to admin - google it and you can find lots of help - it is not too hard. First thing to do when you get win7 -
I think I did some things that work. For one, I made the convoy from Narvik normally, so the allies can easily interdict it. However, if you take Norway (which can usually be done easily by air and airborne), the convoy goes from oslo and is easily protected. However, if the Allies capture Narvik, a supply event damages Oslo so the convoy fails.

I need some more human players for my mod - please send me a note at vypuero@gmail.com - I usually prefer to run mirror games and use pbem but can play "simul" coordinating by chat during evenings and weekends. -

Let me know if you want to try human vs human, and i am also trying to get some late war western allied feedback (44-45) to see if those scripts work. -
AAR Nupremal World AI test

Oh well you should have explained that then. It is an artifact of the generic AI and nothing I can do about it. When something else becomes more important they will likely move away. -
it is a very good feature

Yes - there is a process for it - you open up the scenario in the old game editor then save the data and pick what you want to export, that saves a data file that can then be loaded by another editor in another sc version. There is more documentation in the various manuals about that.

If you are the axis then aren't you in control of that unit? -
You can't add units, all you can do is modify unit types, or use events like I am now doing for the Atomic Bomb. In my previous mod I used Rockets for things like the atomic bomb, kamikazees, and you could easily use them for chemical artillery. For mines you would have to do something like use events that could cause strength reductions, or use a unit type like an Anti-tank that you don't use for its intended purpose. For greenland, I make it part of Denmark, so if Denmark surrenders it can be annexed. Afghanistan is harder, if you don't want it to be a country, you really can't it has to be a country or part of another in order to work. One thing I also did once was make a country called "Neutral" that you can then take territory from, but with the extra nations in global I see little need for that. You can't edit save files that I know of.

SC3, the layer of uncertainty
Nupremal replied to SeaMonkey's topic in Strategic Command - GLOBAL CONFLICT
I would suggest that intelligence allow a greater chance of mis-matching the unit, and they could also allow a % chance to get a free deception unit, which you would not see until you were next to it. -
I use a higher % but 1 chit maximum

realtime never works well and not appropriate to this scale

I am not sure what friction means vs. terrain I like the idea of VPs - that is important and allowing VP to be another way to calculate who wins is also important. Perhaps even having the VPs count every turn as another option vs. who holds it at the end of the game. I would much prefer hexes zoom in and out is important A more complex combat system may be nice - not sure of the details Research where you can build the % and have the randomness allow for "faster progress" A better naval system would be great. For example, something like what is done in World in Flames, where you patrol zones and the like, though that is getting a bit far afield of what SC does now. Or something that was like that may be more interesting, like sending them on patrols, having chance to find, stuff like that.
