  1. there are really some annoying problems with pathfinding:( it would be great idea to add visual ghost line of path which will units really take.
  2. yes. youre right. for me its quite realistic. for US is very important keeping looses as low as possible(public opinion etc) i believ, that creators of campaign missions had this option in mind
  3. for me are campaign missions nicely balanced. im playing on elite and in real time. when i have more than one dead and one wounded soldier, im trying again. i think - its easy to win, but its quite challenging to win without dead soldiers. what i dont like on some missions - teleporting fresh enemy units very near your units(on the borders of maps.) sometimes are enemy soldiers and jeeps appearing in the middle of US units and thats for me quite unrealistic.
  4. i forgot to add: somewhere in the middle is for me theatre of war. impossibility to use buildings is so absurd, that it deform whole tactics. do you think that shock force have such a problems?
  5. 1:1 was great step forward. for me it changet the whole tactics. because i care more for individula soldiers and im motivated keeping looses at zero(or near zero) i dont get why michael dorosch thinks, taht problems(bugs) in shock force are all rooted in 1:1 vizualization. ai can be improved/pathfinding too/multicore optimalization/. and sure it will be. shock force is for me great game(im enjoyig it like modern steel panthers in 3d). for me is sohock force much better as previous combat mission games. michael dorosh said, that shock force is somewhere in the middle and now noone is really happy with that. then - im the middle man! shock force is now great and will be greater for me! im playing in real time. totaly forgot heavy time consuming/and after some time boring wego. on the other side - im playing against computer. didnt tried yet realtime play against human(so here have michael dorosh maybe point) but again - when i should have problems managing units in real time...my oponent will be human too.so he will be fighting with same problems and same time limit. thats sounds fair duel to me...
  6. i have full game and its great fun! much better as all combat missions together. im playing in realtime and everything is as it should be. we-go was after some time bore. (for me) of course there are some bugs, but they will be soon fixed. i was frist dissapointed too. give the game chance.
  7. i belive that there is no friendly fire from light weapons. so you can aim lot of mgs from strykers and infantry at building which you want clean. shoot at it for a while. then order assault or hunt for your squad to clean the house. you can let your units fire at the building(with your assaulting infantry inside) whole attack and dont be scared that they will kill your guys. this fire wil supress enemy inside. this works for me quite well. i have dicovered it today:) until now i was stopping supress fire before ive ordered assault. but dont use heavy guns. the building will fall and your squad will be dead. (and sorry for my terrible english:)
  8. to jomni: yes:) i know. but only in one mission:)and there is one tank and 2bmp
  9. 1.real time mode( old turn based is for me after all this combat mission years little boring and too long. real time game is more realistic and adrenaline. 2. nice visual(except main screen and lens flare effect) and great models 3. complexity 4.ballistics( riccochet/hiding beh vehicles etc:) 5.modern warfare!!! 6. more realistic spotting (on elite level) 7. every soldier modelled 8. entering buildings through doors 9. destroyable enviroment 10. great sound
  10. i love real time mode in shock force!!! because real time is more real and more dynamic. you can pause anytime and your turn based mode is still there. so wheres the problem?!
  11. jogr, years ago, flashpoint was a great game for me. i tried arma several times(different versions/updates of demo). engine is old and not ergonomic. youre talking about hdr effects and adaptation of eye pupil:) on the other side - engine is so impractical, that movement in buildings is very strange/bogging in corners/falling from floors etc. and a.i. is very primitive. maybe arma looks like army simulations to you, because of this impractical interface:) talking about games 40x40kms, im looking forward to adaptation of cryo engine. now im still playing americas army( not so big, no vehicles, but for sure more fun as arma, and of course combat mission shock force:) p.s.: for us, in eastern europe was total dissapointment, when bohemia interactive and distributor choosed star force protection for arma. that was last drop. (sorry for english)
  12. same with me:( intel core2 quad 2,4/3,2 4gb ram xp 64bit antialias off vsynch off model/textures - balanced:( affinity only one core ...... i hope it will be solved in 1,02 patch. i would like to play on max settings
  13. hi denward, place your units smartly and you can win easily in demo. i had kills all the US units(including zanks) and they got only 2 of my bmp(and thats just because they were reinforcements and they had materialized on wrong place in wrong time. i think that power of US and SYRIAN forces is very good balanced and you can win for both sides(with different tactics)
  14. i purchased full version today. game is great. end of my tech support posts:)
  15. rune, i know that this is off topic, but is possible to post screenshot? i would like to send you one as a thank you for your support:)patrik
  16. cpl steiner thank you im on elite settings. so this was my fault:) i also disabled 3cores in task manager, and game runs better. little flickering on ground - in setup phase, and little slow mouse camera persist. running in native (1600x1200, all det on medium/disabled antialias and shadows. ive had finished all 2 scenarios maybe 10 times. i think that after few tweaks this game will be great:) thx rune and other guys from battlefront. i will wait and filling my time with theatre of war. they will start selling it in my contry 7th august. good luck battlefront! and do multicore optim:)
  17. hi rune, i dont want mess with drivers. sorry, but again, thank you very much for help. i belive, that problem is not in my comp( mainly multicore optimization) and it will be solved in next few weeks/months. then i will buy the game, bec it looks promising to me. to adminttd: hi, this is of course not a case of enemy units, which are not in visible range. this is about dissapearing friendly units. only icons still visible. when i click on icon, unit is visible again. i will post screenshots. bye all!
  18. hello rune, i dont want mess with bios. im not so good in computers and i neet functional comp for work. im done. will wait for demo updates. anyway, thank you very much for your effort. patrik
  19. rune, hello again, i tried apply microsoft update( WindowsXP-KB896256-v4-x86-ENU.exe), but its for another hardware. i think its only for 32bit xp. im running 64xp with service pack2
  20. sorry .forget mentioned problems: 1)poor performance( changing details, resolution, antialias, shadows) wont help 2) camera movement(mouse) slow ghosty response 3)units sometimes dissapearing(just icons visible). when i click on icon, unit again visible.
  21. hi rune, thx for friendly reply: im using my comp for work(processor intensive aplications like softimage, after effects, photoshop, premiere) so im not so very happy trying all mentioned fixes. my comp runs fine and im scared messing with drivers bec of one game:( here are my specs: System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 7/28/2007, 08:55:18 Machine name: HOME Operating System: Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (5.2, Build 3790) Service Pack 2 (3790.srv03_sp2_rtm.070216-1710) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 23. mr ashbery76 i have Intel® Core2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz and 4gb ram geforce 7900gto 512bm ram do you think its not enough? and to rune: you didnt answered why is interface so impractical(switching between move/attack..etc modes) and then placing orders.
  24. mr rune, this is not wery profi answer for kiemes letter. i dont know nothing about directx and opengl. fact is, that todays visual standard of games is much higher than presented in shock force. if our expensive systems can smoothly run games with dense vegetations and high end graphics, why cant we run game with few soldiers in the desert? we are simple users and we want play your game, because we like CM. you SHOULD compare your game with other today games! and optimized!
