  1. Well it makes sense to defend using the terrain to your advantage and especially reverse slopes.
  2. Probably a consequence of that file mixup issue. At the very least you guys still got points for this round if it isn't fixable @jheinrichk Abrams surviving a close range partial penetration front lower hull by 125 APFSDS. I guess the driver needs new set of undies, at least he doesn't need to open the hatch to throw the old ones out.
  3. I'll keep to my superstitions. I think I tried changing them and faced, accidental or not, increased immobilizations.
  4. Thanks. I don't get emotional about how much tanks get send, but Surikat may he rest in peace.
  5. I think just changing the move orders helps against bogging, but I usually try reversing as well just because that seems logic.
  6. All depends imo, good cover is usually preferable I'd say as it helps against mortars / artillery and generally all incoming.
  7. Yes we will sit like ducks on your TRP PS What is your USSR platoon doing casually strolling around my left flank? Never mind some good ole target practice
  8. No worries though, all the 30mm ammo is still conserved for maximum brrt powah, but 1 Maverick has been utilized.
  9. Artillery Observation vehicle? If lucky including observers Edit: to be serious I think 1 pixeltruppen.
  10. Another difference with regards to the car analogy is that if you change from manual to automatic gear vehicle, it doesn't eat your arm if you hold it at the knob too long. A minor but not unimportant detail I guess
  11. One could hope current events are some sort of an alarm clock, but the snooze danger is still there I guess ;-). At the same time the cultural difference that history has 'provided', might give us some extra snooze time and be late for work but still get the job done. As long as we don't fall to too much into the 'corporate culture' trap, imo.
  12. This friend(s) also have a lot of interests of his/their own.
  13. So people should stop worrying about when and just get on with the job, it will be ready when it is ready :). When things are close to ready those involved will know it and others can start planning around with the new assets. Wise would it be to not plan the most difficult/complex task as the first in the queue.
  14. I can recommend duckduckgo privacy essentials browser extension. I have it on chrome. Their search isn't on same level as google but you can always go to google.com still, or change default search engine.
  15. Perhaps the blessing is that upfront bottom-up critical thinking doesn't go that well if you're planning to make a career in that nation at this moment.
  16. Not everything relates to a mathematical equation though. While I'm a big fan of 'good enough', in my line of work this way of calculating often creates more problems than it solves. It is often tried though, although not near me anymore :).
  17. Playing with FOG of war adds immersion that's for sure. And fun is the most important imo. Although for a mirror game that would have to be implemented by both sides.
  18. I think Israel had good practical experience with it, which should be available on internet as I remember reading about it years ago. Anyway for whatever will be the 'new' AFVs/IFVs Ukraine (or any country for that matter) is going to acquire in the longer run, APS and other protection systems will or should certainly be a consideration. Including protection against top attack munitions.
  19. Yes this battle you can sure expect artillery and air all on your setup zone for both sides! But I like it, even without the exit objective working as intended due to the scoring. USSR forces need to utilize their doctrine to perform.
  20. Indeed. Plus how many T-90M are even deployed / deployable in Ukraine? Also all Russian tanks are vulnerable to Javelin and other ATGMs Ukraine has. Does Kontakt-5 ERA reliably stop Stugna-P, or other tandem HEAT ATGMs with ~550+ mm RHA penetration? (because IIRC that's the penetration needed to go through T-72 turret after ERA, from T-72M1). And artillery indeed :)
