i have the same issues.

I get a warm feeling when ever the scenario builder provides me a tank or two.
most of my heavy armor stays back to pound locations of the enemy to the ground and will inch up slowly behind the stryker and ground teams.
The stryker teams are used to lay cover fire and transport my infantry to locations where I stage my attack.
once the infantry has secured a rooftop. usually, its a this time where the bad guys open up hoping to kill a few of my men. Of course giving way their postions.
the tanks and strykers go into action.
I continue to do this over and over again until i reach my objective. unfortunatly my system is time consuming. The two hour limit is not enough for me. thats what i do. hope this helps.

I love the map. The two hour limit is killing. I dont like to rush in a battle. When I play shock force my goal is to reach my objective with as many men alive.
It took me over an hour gain the high ground and to get my foothold in the town. I dont like to run my vehicles from open ground into a city through a bridge.
especially, when I know there are bad guys hiding in the buildings waiting to blow away. I think a real commander would not do this. An assault like this would be done in two hours.
This scenario would be work if the time limit was unlimited. I hope BF allows this option in the upcomming patch.

WR: can you provide a .btt version of your scenario.
I usually teak the unit parameters to bring down the lethality as well as the time limit to max.

Nice work, I love the map. Finally a scenario where I used some defensive tactics.
Please continue to make more of the same.
The only request I have is extending the time limit.
I usually edit the time to max allowed. This i can concentrate on tactics instead of being forced to hurry.

I don't mean to be annoying but when are going to be able to dl 1.05. looking forward to seeing more impovements to the TACAI.

it would be nice to have the option to have the gunners shoot in a direction even if they cannot see the target. This way if there is a tall tree or high grass creating a reverse slop a vehicle can still sent a hail of bullets in that direction.
maybe a reverse slop/can't target override option.

it would be nice to see more afghan scenarios. from the pictures the current editor has the same styles of homes.

thanks for the info. It would be cool if assault movement could be a little faster. makes it for urban enviroments. for now i will used the quick and hunt as other are doing.

I tried the assault once and the two squads took forever to meet up again.
I use the hunt and quick button all the time. I just like the idea of the assault mode.

so its normal for the team to move slowly in assault mode. I thought there was something wrong my system.
Pandur: can you elaborate on how you use the assault option.

when is the best time to use each option. I tried assault a few times and it did not work well for me.

There are a few ways to bring down the lethality.
In the editor I make all units on both sides conscript. fantical - so they dont give up too easily. also, poor weapons.
I ran few test to see what would happen to troops running accross open ground from one to house to another. the houses were fifty meters apart. I place an enemy squad fifty meter in between the two houses.
I ran three squad across with regalar option in elite game play. 3 out of 27 soldiers survived.
did it again with the above options in basic training game play option and lost one to two soldier in each squad.
