  1. I'm afraid that it's currently not possible, as it was at the beginning regarding ToW1, I don't know if 1C is planning to release a "clear map" (which is necessary for making a map from scratch) but thanks to the SFS extractor, I was able to make one myself, and will soon upload it.

@General Solomon: road and statics placing is very easy and user friendly in my opinion with Tow editor (very well explained in the manual)

i am sorry my friend but i did not see in the tow2 manual. I only have tow2 at this time. i will re-read it again.

  2. the problem i have about the map editor is that i dont know how to place road and building. also, dont know how to change elevation along with viewing the map in 3d mode at possible.

cmsf map editor has really spoiled me.

  3. Memory is very rusty today... didn't CMx1 have a dialog that allowed you to keep on playing but with frozen victory conditions? Whatever the case is, I personally don't have a problem with it. But I do have a problem if the victory conditions aren't frozen. There are too many things that start to go wrong after the anticipated timeframe the scenario designer set up for that battle.

Having said that, I can think of a way where everybody would be happy. A dialog that allows continued play with or without victory conditions changing from that point on. The determination about victory conditions would be determined by a setting in the Editor designating which side, if any, is allowed to extend victory conditions. That way the designer could say "if Side X achieves its victory conditions, it's game over. Side Y can continue to play, but the Victory will remain as is because what's done is done". That sort of thing.

I've made a note of it.

steve,, you have made my weekend. i dont want unlimited time just an option to keep going. i like to plan my moves and like to it slowly to try to bring every man home. i like to play battles like each one of my digital soldiers mattered if they stayed alive.

any option to give us more time would be appreciated.

  4. The main things that drew me to cmsf was the real time and 1:1. The other game that tried to accomplish 1:1 was squad assault. it came out a few years ago and most computers could not run it and people lost interest. Even though it had a map editor like cmsf. not as easy as cmsf but you could make your own maps.

i am installed it again in preparation for cm:Normandy.

like i have alway put out my challenge: find a game like cmsf. you can't, i tried.

btw when can we expect the nato module after the release british forces.

  5. Nooo, I'm play this game sloowly to enjoy every detail... Like I said, just stopped my troops for a while to get some breathe... Been on Tebessa, put artillery in position to render enemy trenches... My Tigers are ambushing any counterattack that enemy could land on me... Easy and slowly, theres no time boundaries like in CM... Heh, been so pathetic on this, isn't it?!? Remember me on my past...

i am like you, i love to play campaigns very slow to enjoy the battles. That's why i am hoping by the time i get my computer next week we will have some user created scenario's.

I also like the fact that you don't have to rush to beat the time.

i want to have the option to play for as long as there are enemy troops and not worrying about the time.

hopefully the CM:Normandy will include the unlimited time option.
