  1. Yes he does, it's YOU who has no idea what you are talking about.
  2. I'm glad because I hate Vista and I hope more and more games don't work on it and it goes down the crapper. Bill Gates is just trying to gouge everyone again for more money. Vista doesn't do enough of anything in an improvement to warrant moving away from XP. He just made up that direct X 10 to not be compatible to XP to force everyone to upgrade, but, it's backfiring on him. News reports say so and the general public is demanding the ability to buy a new computer with XP instead of Vista now. Hurray for boycotting.
  3. Amen brotherman. I didn't buy the crappy CM:SF because of that either. I see lazy programming out of them now compared to CMBO,CMBB and CMAK. Just lazy and greedy now. Make a half assed game and churn em out like hotcakes.
  4. CMAK is a better game than CMBB. With CMETO you get all the scenarios from CMBO as well as the CMAK ones and all the wonderful terrain, weapons, tanks, etc. I'd never go back to playing CMBB until this Campaigns comes out. I'd much prefer a Campaign of CMAK than CMBB though. But, it doesn't look like we are going to get either.
  5. You sound like a lot of some folks. hahahaha A good wargame AI is one that plays to WIN not to just delay how long it takes the human player to win. Sorry, but, I totally disagree with this. No random map generator = no buyee for me an my wargaming group. We'll just play CMAK or CM-ETO instead of shell out good money for less than we've gotten before. This module business is just money grubbing anyways. Maybe they'll get it right by the time they release the WWII stuff. [ November 29, 2007, 09:10 AM: Message edited by: CaptainBly ]
  6. A wargamer doesn't care about looks, a true blue wargamer that is. A wargamer cares about play value, longevity, quality and challenge. Put in all the fancy smancy pictures and artwork you want. If it doesn't fit into the Elite Four then it's just another game that wanted to be a wargame. CMBO, CMBB, and CMAK will be hard to surpass in the Elite Four catagories. No amount of sugar coating CM:SF will ever implement will put it up on the pedestal and superority of the Elites we already have.
  7. I agree if it had sold more than both over the years it would be in the top 10 sales charts and well it's not. Someone is just blowing smoke without any documentation.
  8. You know how easy it is to make a new name on here and act like you're new or just look new. That doesn't fly one iota that NEW people have actually bought the game. It's more probably people like you making up a new name and login and just being a fanboy or doing something like this to try to disprove others statements I don't put anything past fanbois actions when their game is under attack. You're all like partisains during the issues that come up. It's a war or the words and it's usually the same people on the fanboi side saying the same things over and over in every other thread. Get used to it CM:SF has issues and it's not going to be very popular as word gets out about the UI and camara controls and general bugs/flaws and ctds.
  9. Lol never seen so many people make excuses for crap out of the box. There's no excuse it's a worthless pile of doo. Sorry, I don't go in for this makebelieve they will fix it junk. It should have been that way upon release. People that continue to buy crap like this out of the box really need some help. You might as well go buy a new car without an engine, that's how you do with software. lol
  10. The arguement for RT out of the RT fanbois has always been they believe it to be more realistic for command control. What they are forgetting is all the HOURS of planning before a major battle begins. Nothing in any war happens in the time frame that RT games put into the games and no commander had to use a mouse and click click click to send his subordinates commands to give to their subordinates. Therefore RT is not nor will ever be realistic until it actually plays in REAL WORLD TIME as we know it. Where I have hours to command. Where I don't have to use a mouse to give those commands where I don't have to rush around the screen like a chicken with its head cutoff to give those orders. The single most horrible thing about RT is how much action one really misses playing one of them. You don't get to see ALL the action and that is what I buy games for to play them MYSELF, not WATCH the AI play it. In real time games that is what is happening most often the AI is playing the game and you are just watching or click click clicking like a maniac. They should title RTS games "Mario Does Wargames". lol But, of course the majority of us know that turn based is a thinking mans game and a real wargame and strategy game will be turn based. Chess and checkers preceeding all things have been around a very long time. Teaching that turn based rules and real time is for kids who don't want to think they just want to show how fast they can jerk off. Just look at the majority of your RT games. They all play from a template. You can goto google and get a template for playing these RTS games, but, you can't for playing real wargames that are turn based. Mainly because every game is different an unique unlike RTS games where building in order 1 2 3 and following the template order will net you a victory 9 out of 10 times. I can understand Battlefronts decision to put in RTS so they could bring in more sales from the kiddies. I'm just glad; even though I won't buy this POC hypothetical modern day game that it has the excellent WEGO system for those that will buy it and later buy into what we all wanted in the first place WWII stuff. <goes away grumbling about the time and resources wasted on making this poc game>
  11. Welp there goes 3000+ sales down the tubes then. Thanks for the info.
  12. I need some clarification here. Moon implies there are QUICK BATTLES, yet, I have read in the reviews there are NO RANDOM MAPS...so, does that mean Quick Battles are played on ingame prebuilt maps and there is no engine/feature to create any random maps like the old CMx games? Also, if no random maps...why? ANd will there be random maps in future modules like the WWII ones that are due next?
  13. Yep I sure do The DEMOLAY and we have our specifics about what we WEAR and DO and it's none of your business since you aren't a member. Only very special people get to join. pffft Besides real life is a lot safer than giving some yo yo you don't even know in some other state or country all your personal information (don't do it people). But, if you want to do that silliness and stupidity it's fine by me. I'm certainly not going to fall into such a CLUB online. It's real easy to put FAKE numbers down on an online website. Wanna see? We have 3000 members in the club against not giving out your real name and address or any other personal information online. See, how that works pal? lol 240 members my eye.
  14. ahahaha don't hold your breath kid this game would never reach the top of computer wargaming even if Creative Assembly put their name on it. Keep on dreaming though kid, in your dreams only can your dreams come true. hahaha
