  1. Great Map Romml, playing the scenario now.
  2. Hey Webwing, Trying something new with Bloody Nose Ridge and Hold the Line. I'm trying to put some life in the enemy. Well, just try it and we'll discuss. When you're playing just pay attention to what the enemy is trying to do. Enough, I don't want to give it away.
  3. New scenario out.. Hold the Line. Short but brutal. Every time I tested it my battalion (under strength) seemed to fight great and then other times they couldn't stop the bad guys. Play as blue player only. It's designed for the blue player to reach a climatic point in the game and make decisions that will be successful or complete failure. A little gamey - but, it could happen. Get it at http://www.cmmods.com/web/CMMods.nsf
  4. Good to hear Law&Order, if it's replayable - it's a good scenario.
  5. Don't use 1.06, MissingReality.... Has anybody else had a problem?
  6. For the first time - I've made a scenario that has some serious head to head fighting. The ridge line is brutal. Every inch has been covered. I've had a good time making this one. One thing I did notice is you've got to establish some kind of infantry assault along with armor smoke screen - or forget it, you'll be toast. Your mission - Pass all three phase lines through the ridge. Their mission is to drop every US soldier they can. It's a nasty business and dark too. Only play as Blue. The red side knows what to do. One more thing - There are some enclosed bunkers at the back of the ridge. Remember to blow a hole in the wall to get inside (+100 extra points). You'll need to get those points in the end. http://www.cmmods.com/web/CMMods.nsf
  7. Wow!! Fighting Seabee - What a cool scenario - Right out of Ghost Recon. I enjoyed the hell out of that one. I didn't even think to look at the OP position. There's a sniper unit I could have used. Will play this one a lot - Make more like that!!! Flipping cool!!!!
  8. I've got Return to Ba Bado V3 out at CMMODS. It's basicly the same as V2 - With a few extras. It's over the top with the ammount of Syrians - I know. However, I want the AI to hold its ground and fight for every inch of the town. The only way to do this is have a numerically superior force just being thrown in the cyclone. It sure makes for some short brutal fire fights all over the place. The enemy vehicles appear out of no where at times. ****Spoiler**** The limited reconnaissance push at the beginning of the game is a test I'm using for the next scenario I'm building. A recon element testing the line. Both scenarios for CMSF and TOW are based on this event. First, the US platoon receives only light small arms fire and then Wham! Here comes a high intensity determined enemy... I love it.
  9. Hello Webwing, It was you who got me hooked on the editor for TOW. I stopped playing TOW when CMSF came out and then I noticed your map building forum. Suddenly, I noticed your detailed editor help videos...... I can't get away now. By the way, great job on those. Right now I'm trying to get the enemy AI to do exactly what I want it to do. Now, CMSF 1.07....???? I'm back to replanning Return to Ba Bado V3. My wife is going to kill me.... but, I just can't get away from these two games.
  10. Handihoc, What do you think of the two editors? With TOW, I'm making a good infantry (Company size) mission. Only light armor allowed. Trying to get the enemy force to do exactly what I want is time consuming. However, I enjoy it. With CMSF it's easier to get everything the way you like it, plus you can have variations of the original plan. I'm still stuck on what one I want to put my time in.
  11. Hello Handihoc I'm working on a new one. Just give me time. Yabadabadoo is coming However, I'm having a hard time figuring out which one I like more, CMSF or "Uber" TOW. I enjoy the brutal firefights in CMSF. Modern warfare is the best setting - But, I like the grunt view in TOW. When you hit a tank, pieces fall off it.... I love that. Then the guys try to bail out and you drop them too! Both games are just too cool. What one do you stick with? That's the question. If the Marine patch comes out? The answer is Shock Force by far. I can't wait to have my little digital Marine 0311s rocking the city of Ba Bado on my wife's stereo setup. Neighbors will be complaining about the noise. With me yelling Ooh Rah!
  12. It was I, JBY.... I always have this issue when there's only one server. I think it's a bigger issue than just my computer (XP issue). Yes JBY -I've tried all possible key and mouse clicks.... and no I'm not retarded or "Special." When there's two or more servers in the list - I have to click on the one below the first one in the list. Then my,"Join Game" button enables. When only one server is in the list, the "Join Game" button never enables. Then I check back in Drop Team - hoping to see if the Demo or Creature Zoo is back. If they're not - I can not play Drop Team and continue with other things that might be more productive in my life. However, not as enjoyable. I just feel that the button control's event is not coded properly. When you select the server line the "Join Game" button should enable. Right now it does not work that way.
  13. http://www.mediafire.com/?7210g2gd1og Is there "Several" keys I have to press at the same time and click the left mouse button to Join Game? That Join Game button is clearly disabled with the server highlighted. I've tried every key with the left mouse button - Right mouse button... Ctrl + Shift left click..... The list goes on. That Join Button will not enable! [ January 13, 2008, 01:55 AM: Message edited by: ThePhantom ]
  14. I still can't "Join Game" with only one server in the list. I can press refresh all day - but the "Join Game" button is not enabled. I can't join the game.
  15. Taki, I too have witnessed each of these events or anomalies. I agree that each squad should have the formations ability. When the squad finishes their command they should be able to form On Line, Wedge, Echelon Left or Right. The formation they use right now in the game is called a Cluster _uck. That's why I always split the squad into assault teams. You can form a much better formation and have better control. If you can't remember what team goes where then you've got them too far away from each other to be effective.
  16. OK - The Bar has been set so high, you can't do just a basic scenario now. In Search of a Ghost ended the one scenario game in my book. The campaign makes you a better player. Now, I hate losing one guy. I don't even want to see one guy wounded. Ok, maybe the battalion or company commander can get shot up - I never liked those guys, they always made me uncomfortable when I was in the service. They're useless in the field and they take all the credit for everything the platoon or company accomplishes. Now, I just use them as advanced scouts. I click on them and use the run command sending them off towards the enemy. Makes me feel powerful, anyway. Sorry, got off track there. I am working on a new one, "A Day To Remember."
  17. When only one server is in the list - I can't join the server because the "Join" button is disabled. Does anybody have Windows XP and have this issue?
  18. Webwing, When you go to make a campaign you're asked to locate the campaign "script" text.... Where is that?
  19. Webwing... You've created an over the top cool campaign, "In search of a Ghost." I've played the first two in the set of seven. I'll play it every chance I get this weekend. I seriously have got to tell you thanks. You've put a lot of time in this one and it shows. Fantastic job, the "Elite" of all the user battles out there. I'll give you my AAR Sunday night. Is it ok if I email it to you? I don't want to spoil this battle for anyone! Again, rocking cool!
  20. Pete, I enjoyed the game... Take the time down to 1 hour 30 minutes. That's really the only negative. "Spoiler* I enjoyed taking out that armored car under the car port looking thing. Flanked it and got on the second level of the building or the roof. I also was able to use the sniper team with great success in this scenario... First time. I sent the team toward the Lock and Key objective. In hunt mode. When they got to the wall near Obj Lock I left them alone. When I returned to them they were dropping enemy targets right and left.
  21. Thanks Seabee, Molotov. Glad you had a "Slugfest." Just what I wanted to hear. Once the M1 platoon comes into play - You've got to have a lot of bad guys just to fight back for a few minutes.
  22. Remember, this is my first armor slugfest. I like it, but the US force can sure knock the hell out of the Syrian force. I would love to try this 2 player.
  23. LOL Fighting Seabee, I won the game - But, I just think losing two Strykers, a hummer, 13 KIA and 13 WIA is too much for a protect a convoy mission. Can you imagine what the media would say if they got a hold of that story. I completed the mission - I just don't think I should have won. I can see maybe one stryker knocked out(RPG), one hummer (He drove over a mine), 13 KIA (for this type of mission that's unsatisfactory), 13 WIA (with 13 KIA that's terrable). I still think the scenario's great.
  24. Great scenario Fighting Seabee. The only thing to add to this one is the scoring system. Make it so that not more than one Hummer can be lost or it's game over (Each one should be worth 400 points). The US casualties should be no more than 20 WIA and KIA. Very real world conditions. My first game I lost 2 strykers, one hummer, and 26 casualties. The red side surrendered 6 minutes time left. I should have lost but received a Total Victory. However, I really enjoyed this game - Great stuff. PS. Has anyone played as Red? I think the hummers might come in play too early.
