  1. Yep it does say on screen deploying, can miss it quite easily though as can scroll past pretty quick.
  2. Easiest way i find is to look at the item on screen im deploying : ie you can see an mg setup on the tripod instead of bipod and you also see another man in same unit (if there is one) move next to mg as a loader. Does'nt the deploy button also stay lit though when a unit is deploying\deployed something. Also the little Shortcut key display "/" in corner of Deploy button goes dim instead of being bright green when something is deployed. Also the Deploy button graphic as do the others look slightly different as MikeyD says if you look close enough when pressed (not very obvious this one though). patch?

One down and one to go, just got the new v1.05 patch for CMSF so just need the new TOW patch hopefully soon and that'll be me sorted for the hols.
  4. Perhaps you should try removeing then reinstalling game again after you download moscow patch again or maybe just try the game without the patch first now that you've updated directx etc. Dont forget to unlicence game before you uninstall it first though. Also you may still have to rename that tow2.dll to elicen40.dll after you install again depending if you get that error message again. [ December 14, 2007, 09:15 AM: Message edited by: Budge4 ]
  5. I have rts.dll file in my game dir (816k) thats without the moscow addon installed. Just looked at support file and it looks like the rts.dll is a problem that the moscow addon patch should have put right. Bit of a pain but i think you should download the moscow addon again Earl. Is your Tow on Dvd or is it the downloaded one. [ December 14, 2007, 08:48 AM: Message edited by: Budge4 ]
  6. Rename tow2.dll to elicen40.dll in your game dir. Apparently elicen40.dll was missing from early version of the moscow addon patch file. [ December 14, 2007, 06:56 AM: Message edited by: Budge4 ]
  7. You can also run towsetup.exe from within game dir to make sure settings are set correctly, screen resolution, refresh rate, use 1 cpu etc.
  8. Have you got the latest directx (Nov 2007) Its updated every couple of months even though its still called version 9.0c [ December 13, 2007, 01:49 AM: Message edited by: Budge4 ]
  9. Have you the latest DirectX (Nov 2007) as dont think this shows up on windows update page, you have to maually get it from microsoft site. Have you installed the patch (Moscow addon) Also have you tried renaming the file "title.avi" in your game folder to perhaps "title.bak" so it skips the intro screen, some people seem to have problems showing this screen when game is supposed to launch (maybe a codec missing). The .exe to install codec to show intro is in a folder called "codec" in your game dir just incase you did'nt install it. [ December 13, 2007, 01:31 AM: Message edited by: Budge4 ]
  10. email elicense@battlefront.com explain what happened and try and get your licenses back. Take it you know your elicense key as proof. [ November 14, 2007, 08:20 PM: Message edited by: Budge4 ]
  11. You have 2 licenses so that you can install game on 2 different computers, when you previously uninstalled game you should have unlicensed it first. If you have lost both licenses or\and not kept a record of your key you will have to explain your situation to elicense@battlefront.com to see if you can get them back. There is an elicense FAQ that gives answers to most questions on elicense in the Support section. I have just recently reinstalled game onto my computer again and my elicense key was automatically in the elicense window (i did'nt have to type it in) The elicense control panel on your old computer keeps a record of your elicense key so unless windows has been reinstalled on it you should be able to see what your elicense key is. 12. Have you tried the unlicence option in the Battlefront folder reached from the Windows Start Button\Program Menus. I've also removed the game by using the normal add\remove programs from the windows control panel, the unlicence window still came on screen for me to click on the unlicence button before game was removed. You could always try this way as a last resort before your comp goes if you have'nt unlicenced it by then, it did unlicence fine when i did it though. 13. Thanks Battlefront. Lot better framerate even on higher settings than i used before, much more playable now.
  14. I always thought the e-licence could be used 2 times so that you can have it installed on 2 different computers. Did you try installing game even though it said 1 licence is in use.
  15. Charles must be another Geoff Crammond and he knocked a few gooduns out in his time.
  16. Have you got your motherboard chipset drivers installed correctly: ie Via 4 in 1 driver or Intel inf file etc for whatever type of motherboard chipset you have. As far as i know these drivers configure your motherboard graphics port as well as other things. Just an idea.
  17. A Fiver is still too much for a game that dont run right. "Once Bitten Twice Shy" Wont happen again. (Hopefully 1.04 will change my opinion) [ September 25, 2007, 07:41 AM: Message edited by: Budge4 ]
  18. Good Luck with it, let us know if it works ok.
  19. Sounds like you need a Sony Dvd Drive to go with the ****ty Sony Securom BillyBud, more expense to get a game going (Brings back memories of Silent Hunter 3 and ****force grrr!). Perhaps we need to know what DVD drives are supposed to work with these games as well as which graphics cards, how much ram, which sound cards etc etc etc.
  20. Mishga have you tried going to http://battlefront.elicence.com/download.asp putting your elicence number in and trying to download the game, dont know whether it would work or not but you have bought the game so cant see why there should be a problem in trying that. Take no notice of the above, it does'nt seem to work unless the link was clicked on directly from my cmsf buying confirmation e-mail. [ September 18, 2007, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: Budge4 ]
  21. Why do companies even bother with this security stuff anyway, all it seems to do is cause problems for the legitimate owner of a game. You only have to do a quick search on the internet to see that all these security systems are soon bypassed by the hackers (CMSF included) Seems like the pirates can run the games with less hassle sometimes. My copy of CMSF is paid for as is other Battlefront titles such as Theatre of War and Dangerous Waters, just makes you wonder why legit owners have to put up with these security hassles.
