I have an Optiarc DVD drive, which is a Sony/Nec product! Paradox is sending me a good CD. I appreciate their support, and prompt response anyway. Heres hoping it works.

Securom said that after carefull analysis of my analysis file, that it was not a securom problem. To contact the publisher. I updated my DVD firmware...no change.

Guest account gives me the same results. This is B.S. You should no have this much trouble trying to get a game to run, especially when you pay close to $50 for it. I never had a problem with Starforce protected games, now I know what the people who hate it feel like.

OK, got it, never had to do this for a game before....crazy. Now to see if it works.

Now I have to figure out how to use a guest account...great.

So the Paradox version uses the dreaded sony securom software. I am waiting on a reply from them now. I get a no disc error, right after install, and disc is still in the drive. What a pain in the arse. When I buy a game, I want to take it home and try it out. Not waste a day searching the net, and tweaking my PC trying to get it run. I hope this game lives up to my expectations, but right now I am a little annoyed.
