  1. Full view turret comparison with cupolas: Type A is the tweaked Ausf.D cupola, type B is the Ausf.A. A isn't perfect, but at least historically correct.
  2. That looks very nice! We definitely need a new standard here with the old support 251's...
  3. Okay, so I'm already remaking my Panther D Late - this time it's gonna be a REAL late version! But I have a little problem. As we all know, the polygons of the late Ausf.D cupola actually are that of an Ausf.A. So I can just change textures.I did a little tweaking and came up with this: Question is: Do you want type A (Ausf.D cupola tweaked to fit onto the polygons) or do you prefer type B (Ausf.A cupola, wrong but better looking)?
  4. I knew it would come in handy having all those nice pictures of interesting patterns... Now that you're remaking all the BFC stuff, I can't bloody well use 'em, can I? Doesn't look bad. In fact, that looks gorgeous. I really should do a few more - just to keep up - but sometimes, real life stuff is more important...
  5. Hey, you're making me unemployed! How can I come up with better patterns or overall paint jobs than that? Nice work there, by the way. Nice work on all of your vehicles. I actually use a fair number of them... and your StuG's are the best!
  6. I knew there would come the day when I was asked... accidentally, I registered as 'Tybault' at CMMODS and later as 'Earl Grey' here. Sorry. So everything from 'Tybault' is mine.
  7. That means a lot from you. Thank you very much. Hopefully I'm not going to blush... And there's more to come! I'm a big fan of exotic and complex camouflage patterns, too. But at the same time I try to aim for historical accuracy and not to use fictional patterns... That's what makes it REALLY hard - I have to find a pattern that suit my taste AND can be done with the texture restrictions in mind! But since I devote some of my time to research camouflage patterns, I have a healthy supply of ideas and possibilities...
  8. Okay, here they are: This BMP set is a modification of the stock BMP's by combining them with parts of AndrewTF's uniform series. A good dose of hand-drawn elements is involved, too. I aimed for what I think is more or less realistic at this time in the war, so there are different camouflage patterns. Not exactly like I wanted it to be, but the textures don't permit anything more fancy. By the way: Since I'm technically not allowed to have these on my PC, please do not tell the authorities, okay? ,)
  9. It seems the link was already broken, so I fixed it.
  10. Mine will take a little bit longer, I've got plenty of stuff to do right now... But I'm working on it!
  11. Definitely not bad! Now I'm not so sure if I still want to do my own PzIV's...
  12. @DavidI: It was. Some parts I did 3 times over! The hardest were the front fenders, because they're made up of 3 different parts...
  13. It's been a while, but here is the next one: This mod depicts a Panther Ausf.D (early) of the Panzergrenadierdivison "Großdeutschland" in the area of Karachev (Russia), August 1943. The mod was done with MikeyD's wondeful art based on a mod VossieWulf did years ago. The pattern was giving me hell, but I think it turned out very well in the end. At the moment, there's the Panther insignia missing, because I couldn't replicate it properly. If I can, I'll do an update. [ March 12, 2007, 01:37 AM: Message edited by: Earl Grey ]
  14. Either David comes up with a texture set or I'll do it... I'm modifying my SS troops anyway, so i can upload them as well.
  15. Now the question is: Do we start modding ToW, too? Don't know if it's at all possible or even necessary - won't all vehicles have 5 or 7 different skins? Aprt from that - as MikeyD pointed out - the bese textures look really impressive... Though I'd say the Ambush pattern isn't exactly up to factory standards.
  16. @MikeyD: I'll see what I can do. In every mod a lot of parts to fit exactly... You remember the modified Panther fenders? Those drove me nearly nuts. But as long as I think I'm nuts enough to do an early version, there's nothing that can stop me...
  17. Absolutely perfect! Thanks! Maybe I can do an early Zimmerit Version - shouldn't be that much of a problem...
  18. Hey, got some competition here... Not bad, pal! Let's see what I can come up with!
  19. Thank you very much! You won't be disappointed, I promise! Though it might take me some time - doing camo seems to be even more difficult than Zimmerit...
  20. It is finally done! After hours and scrapping my first attempt at making a decent camouflage scheme, I managed to come up with this: I modded the Panther D Late to look like an Ausf. A of the initial production run (August 1943). The mod is based on a Panther of SS-Panzerdivison 'Wiking' around Kovel (Poland), April 1944 and done on MikeyD's wonderful artwork. Thanks, Mikey! Features include: - accurate engine deck - accurate running gear - first road wheel with 16 rim bolts - Zimmerit coating - divisional markings It's as accurate as I could make it, but I had to make a few guesses regarding the placement of the markings. But I'm quite pleased with the result... A final note: I had to cheat here and there to fit the textures onto the polygons (e.g. the MG port cover). So if something looks funny it might be because of that. For DavidI, I have this little present: Plain yellow, just added the markings. Hope thet's okay. Both are at CMMods, so go get 'em!
  21. That's what I'm talking about! Would be awesme! I think I can do yellow versions with your artwork I already have, but it'd be a load of work...
  22. Great work there! Any chance I can get a yellow version of those two?
  23. Zimmerit is finally done: Now the only thing left is to do the camouflage, but that shouldn't be very difficult...
