  1. Any news about this game? We enter the last week of September soon and we wanna finish the Semi finals.
  2. Is it a feature that France surrender even they have proper units to defend soil regions? In this turn in August 1940 french troops surrender to Germany. Too early for my taste...
  3. Hubert, from the beginning of a turn I like to cycle. I move some units and cycle on. Just to not forget any unit. (Maybe that was the intention of yours for this feature anyway) In nearly every turn at least one unit, mostly naval units but not always, gets the activation for a bit of a second. Then the activation disappear and this unit cannot be moved and cannot attack in this turn. Next turn it is another unit with this issue. It is a bit pity that no one else knows this?!??
  4. Hyazinth, yes I exaggerate the situation. But is it worth to move heavy duty in the far north. This game situation is not that rare and I guess the value against naval units should be improved...
  5. Current Ladder in Group A: 1. Clausewitz: Axis 3-0-1; Allies 1-1-2 2. Dragon: Axis 2-0-0; Allies 2-0-0 3. Gronq: Axis 2-1-0; Allies 0-0-3 4. Sharkman: Axis 1-0-1; Allies 0-0-3 5. Catacol: Axis 1-0-0; Allies 0-0-0 6. David12345: Axis 0-0-1; Allies 0-0-1 Current Ladder in Group B: 1. Pacestick: Axis 3-0-0; Allies 1-0-1 2. Sandy: Axis 2-0-0; Allies 0-0-1 3. Rambo: Axis 0-0-0; Allies 0-1-1 4. Javi: Axis 0-0-1; Allies 0-0-1 5. Jollyguy: Axis 0-0-0; Allies 0-0-1 6. Shaun: Axis 0-0-0; Allies 0-0-0 At all players: Please verify the results. I know that some matches are not over but I suppose that Group B need some more results for a real ladder.
  6. The final month begins soon. On October 2011 we wanna start the Big Final. Winti and Fritz are a bit back but now they are back on track as I suppose. I thank all players for the support and making distinguished AAR's as we all wish. We will get a real Champion when the tourny will be over.
  7. Do you guys know this issue in Norway after conquering by the Germans. The units are too weak against marine units and after reinforcing by a corps the Britain troops are nearly invincible.
  8. First I guess that only naval units are affected but some turns ago an army of mine also do not be activated by cycling.
  9. Hey Hubert, take the turn I sent to you and try to cycle thru all units by "n". It should happened every turn sometimes every 2nd turn. So you have a good change to catch the issue.
  10. In the new campaign 1939 Storm over Europe I could occupy a tile like an Amphibious transport only by transport a unit in the red sea. I have the turn to repeat that issue if needed.
  11. Hi guys, one (only German speaking) guy from our Panzerliga has a problem to install the game a second time. Here is his (translated) problem: I have a problem to install SC2 The Great War on my old PC (incl. XP). The activation code does not launch the game. After installing the game either download or via CD “Activation method” appear. When I click “manual” (my old PC has no network or internet connection) the "Authorization Request Code" should be entered but there is already one displayed. After that "Input Activation Code" appears and I write it in and confirm with OK. After that the message “The activation code was is an invalid format. Please contact your vendor for assistance”. After that the procedure finishing. What could I do? Please help?
  12. Don't know if you guys know this already. Following issue, I like to cycle my units via n Key. Periodic in nearly every turn there is atleast one unit that do catch the activation and suddenly stay calm. No activation possible this turn. This is not repeatable for a single unit but often.
  13. I am really pleased for the Tournament that you guys made a good AAR so far. Looks like we have one Finalist soon...
  14. Small question while playing a mirror game of 1939 Storm Over Europe. Isn't the Deutsche Kriegsmarine a bit too strong in this campaign. In both games didn't happened many sea battles yet but the GB Navy is only a bit more than double numbered to the Germans! 7 subs can hit hard (always 100%) and destroy a lot of major ships but the subs could dive many times before sunk? Only a question...what are you experiences.
  15. In the localization.txt there are 2 entries that may be wrong. #OPTIONS_MENU_TEXT_3= Enable to improve AI speed #OPTIONS_MENU_TEXT_4= Disable to improve AI speed The first one is shown for: #OPTIONS_TEXT_10= Quick Animation AND #OPTIONS_TEXT_11= Quick Logic The second one is shown for #OPTIONS_TEXT_9= Show Moves/Combat AND #OPTIONS_TEXT_12= Messages (AI Turn) Maybe confusing or not clear isn't it?
  16. 2011-06-25 Next report in Group B. Pacestick beats Javi two times. Is there still enough activity for the rest of the group? Group B Leaderboard: 1. Pacestick 3-0-0 2. Javi 0-0-2 3. Rambo 0-0-1 4-6. Jollyguy 4-6. Sandy 4-6. Shaun
  17. Hey Minty, good to have have you back on track. Yes Dragon is a hard nut, as we say in Germany. If you don't wanna play smart and fully concentrated you will loose. Hey Rambo, I would like to see you against Dragon in a big match after the tourny. But only if you let us part in some comments or real AAR
  18. Great idea, that will boost the prestige of our Tournament.
  19. Let me introduce the Semi Finalists to you: First of all, Minty. Minty is a manager from the UK and 35 years old. He beats Victor in the Quarter very badly by an unknown tactic. Maybe we catch this information later in the tourney. Opponent for Minty is Dragon. Dragon is from our German Fan site Panzerliga. He works as an Administrator for IBM in Frankfurt, Germany. He likes turn based strategy games and is 45 years old. He was always on top in our Panzerliga ladder system. Second couple begins with Winti. Winti is from Hungary and works in IT area too. He is only 36 and the youngest player in the Semi. Winti started with chess and changes to computer games a bit later. Class of steel and Master of Orion 2 were favourite titles of him. Last but not least there is the oldest sorry player in the Semi Final. Fritz is from California, USA and 48 years old. He loved all the Avalon Hill games as a kid. Maybe someone remember, in 1953, when a young gentleman from Baltimore named Charles S. Roberts, developed a game called "Tactics." Later in 1963 some more titles like Tactics II, Gettysburg, D-Day, Civil War, Waterloo, Bismarck and Stalingrad were published. Great games and the beginning of war games… Who will win the Big Tournament and earn the price money?
  20. Good to hear Hubert. I think it motivate much more player if competitions and AAR's become easier.
  21. One question or ask to Hubert: Maybe in one of the next titles it is possible to create After Action Reports by the game engine. The players of the tournament are a bit lazy to report but some Forum members want to take part of the matches and tactics in there. Please think it over.
  22. Just in time all players reported their games to me. First of all I wanna congratulate the final 4 SC Players. And again thanks to all for making this organization so easy. There were some very close matches but really all played fair. Schedules are never be a problem. OK, now we concentrate to next duties into the Big Final! The matches has to be finished on Friday, September the 30th. I additional month more because of summer time. Matches and Rules are: 1) Strategic Command WWII Global Conflict patch v1.04 is recommended, please update! 2) “World at war” is the Default Campaign to play. Only 1 single PBEM game is required for Quarter and Semi Final. Other campaigns, TCP/IP and mirror games are possible. Check all sets or options soon. 3) Every game has to be finished in 120 days. Quarter Final leads from 2011-06-01 till 2011-09-30 4) “Minor victory conditions” If any game isn’t finished in 120 days the games minor victory conditions decides the match Axis minor victory conditions are (after 120 days in tournament) Berlin, Rome, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul, Manila Allies minor victory conditions (after 120 days in tournament) Paris, London, Moscow, Washington, Chungking, Delhi, Manila, Canberra Other conditions are tied games! If games ends as a draw arbitrator will choose player for the BIG FINAL. Maybe turn files has to be checked. 5) “Changing side rule” is still active. Dragon should play Axis, Minty Allies, Fritz should play Axis, Winti Allies. Other agreement with opponent is possible. REMARK: The BIG FINAL will be played as a Mirror Game! 6) Semi Final will be played as follows: Minty vs. Dragon Winti vs. Fritz Again I wanna campaign for an AAR of your games because only a well known tourny is interesting for everyone. "Be good and talk about it". I will contact the players after a while to get some information for the crowd. Which countries are belligerent? Which major cities are conquered? Did important battles take place? Any questions? Give it to me and may the best man win.
  23. Catacol reports a close game but he will let Dragon into the Semi. First couple in the Semi is Minty vs. Dragon Second match will be Fritz vs. Winti/Epic
