  1. Strange, that the resting and recovering is calculated different.
  2. Really, I always thought it is the same recovering of morale loss. Is this elucidated in the manual? Anyway many thanks...makes some points clearer.
  3. Thanks, but that is not my goal what I ask for. I compare the moral loss of operational movement and forced march. I guess for operational movement it is too high. But that is not adjustable, isn't it?
  4. After the russian winter the match is nearly over. Winti plays too good. The Axis troops are in no good condition.
  5. What about the worth of the morale loss comparing to an operational movement. Is it right that both have the same percentage value? Isn't it more comfortable to travel by train than to make a forced march?
  6. Some news from Africa. Finally the Germans wins and take Alexandria.
  7. Yes, Winti played well. Looks like a lesson he will give me. Not even able to take Yugoslavia.
  8. No, I move them since late France respectively when builded. Heavy combats in Africa. I like it when game designing enables many hot spots of fighting. This turn the Royal Tank could be destroyed.
  9. Hot spot Malta and Africa: To get more supply it is necessary to free Malta. This turn it become true. And new units landed near Tripolis.
  10. Africa: Winti is well positioned. Will be a hard time since I am not used in Fall Weiss anymore.
  11. Late May and France is history this turn. Same will happened to Winti in his Axis game. Now the game starting new. Which resarch will be made and what strategy in Africa.
  12. It's winter time and combat is calming down. My troops reinforce and reorganize itselves.
  13. Next turn is made. As you guys see I could take Brussels. Hard work since the french units are many in numbers. But I guess they could be a bit better in the combat target data. Anyway at the moment the campaign seems balanced to me.
  14. Yes forced march is not neccessary to beat Poland early but it is an option. Later in the game on other circumstances it may be important and I think it makes the game more variable. Let us come back to my Axisturn. I DOW the Low Countries which is not beatable in one turn on turn 2. There is a new property "Eben Emael" placed on the map. This fortification for the Allies is a good idea Winti has for a good gameplay. My tank could not destroy the corps at Eben Emael but another unit did. Maybe it was a mistake to DOW the Low Countries at turn 2 since bad wheather appears soon.
  15. First turn: Did you remember the old battlefield of Fall Weiss? Here it is. Only small corrections at the Low contries. I see two new polish cavalary but that fit very well, isn't it? Here is my overall plan to break thru the lines to Warsaw. I am going to the south. Here is one reason of the need to adapt the map. The army with no motorization could forced his march to the front.
  16. Hey guys, I love that game and I love the old Fall Weiss from Weapons and Warfare. And now Winti ask me to help making his campaign better. He called it 1939 Storm over Europe Fastplay. For me it is the "Fall Weiss" So it was clear from the beginning that I help him. We testing that campaign and there is some need to do that because of the new features "forced march" and "swapping" but it is a quick fun campaign.
  17. What do you mean about "let him away". Peter Zima is a good player and he made a fast sealion campaign in 1940 after France. btw all France gambits are ready very early. Doesn't matter what player. Agree about uboats and China strategy.
  18. Do you guys change the localization routine. When I translate the txt into German the very last entries couldn't be changed. #ADVANCED_MENU_TEXT_15= Research #ADVANCED_MENU_TEXT_16= Diplomacy#PAUSED= Paused#PAUSED_1= Click OK to continue Any thoughts or explanations are pretty welcome. The game starts without problems btw.
  19. I just finished my mirror against Peter. He won the mirror. In both games Russia and China are out but Peter won deservedly. He had a better pacific strategy, sooner China campaign and early Sealion. My GOLD assessment based on 4 Tourny matches: 1) China is a game breaker. If Japan breaks thru too soon Russia is wide open 2) The Atlantic is for the German Kriegsmarine. I said it before and I repeat it here. The German Marine is too strong 3) Turkey could be conquered too easy and bring much benefit to Germany. No must to go to Egypt via Cyrenaika. Just one little attack on Turkey.
  20. Still a strange war to me. Production queue is going to the end as Allies. NO more ground troops to build in 1943 and that don't mean that I have a chance to dominate. I don't produce much ships cause that will last a big time and marine combat has only little effect. I always guess that in history the opposite was true. Anyway now I have to produce what has left. Some air vessels maybe. But it is so much rain on the map!??
  21. Hey guys, here is a new pic from my Axis game. Last turn Big Al took Rome and Italy surrender. I try to defend but it will be difficult. More and more pressure in Asia. I don't have enough mpps to reinforce all my troops. Again partisans took one city and make my play difficult here.
  22. I agree that some moral add were useful cause I only catch isles with paras. Special Forces are too expensive in ambh. transport and needed somewhere else. When India is about to surrender the focus may change.
  23. That is not the point Big Al. What goal do you wanna reach? That is the question. For Axis AND Allies there is no real need to take attention to the small pacific isles. As Axis I better take India and/or Australia with all units I have. As Allies I will concentrate on any nation I could take. If an axis opponent take some pacific isles I have the possibility to conquer neutral countries that will give me more mpps for example. Against Clausewitz in my Axis tournament games I took Turkey with 10 air units easily and won.
  24. I disagree. If you don't use your units for hopping and taking small islands you save money and could conquer China, Russia and GB (India, Australia,...) much quicker. In 1943 most games are already decided. Never played a SC match that last till 1945 and was not already decided. And I played more than 100 matches started with Blitzkrieg, Weapons and Warfare... @AL: btw. I still miss your last turn
  25. Is there any major benefit to rule the pacific? Moral, mpp income? I mean In my tournament matches I play completely without amphibious landing on the small isles. It is simply too expensive. When new units come I always transport them to combat and conquer points.
