  1. Played it, enjoyed it, didn't notice any flaws in it. I had about 5 KIA and 30 casualties though and felt like I was let off a bit easy with 'Total Victory'.

  3. From the manual page 185: I think this is what you are seeing.
  4. I think in another thread a while back BFC said it was taken out due to time pressures, but might re-appear at some point. It'd be nice if the Syrians had some, although I don't know if that fits their TO&E or not.
  5. On your first two I have seen the correct behaviour in both instances, i.e. teams reform and javelins target bunkers. I don't think I did anything special. Forgive the obvious question, but you did have Javelin rounds as well as the CLU I presume?
  6. Oh, and an update from my opponent referring to the above screenies:
  7. mscano and birdstrike: lol Pandur: I assumed the brown patches were just the engine sacrificing detail for framerate, so I hadn't really worried about it. I have a 7600 GT. As a side note I tried enabling AA/AF in the CM:SF menu and that made things not work well - lots of white flashing in the menu screen.
  8. OK, from the same game I have this weirdness going on (I am blue force): Two questions occur to me: 1) Why is nobody shooting at anything? 2) Why did the QB set us up like this in the same patch?
  9. There's some strange weather in Syria at this time of year (look at the temperature).
  10. They are the 'air guard', they are supposed to be up and looking for threats, so I don't think they will button-up.
  11. Here's another person who'd love to see a Goose Green scenario one day.
  12. Good post Bigduke6. This probably won't be popular, but if the video is of a genuine action, rather than training then I feel it demonstrates why US Forces have a bad press everywhere apart from the US. Cards on the table - I'm a Brit Christian who's also half-Iraqi and never supported the invasion in the first place, so if you want to filter my view through that then go ahead. The big problem I see is that US forces seem to do too good a job at dehumanising the people in Iraq, whether civilian or enemy. I know that can be a hard distinction to make, but in this case it seems like there was probably time to make some kind of assessment on that. The cheering after the javelin is fired is understandable on one hand, but imagine you are an average, moderate Iraqi seeing that - how are you going to feel? You're going to think Americans like killing Iraqis no matter what the circumstance. You're going to think that it's sport for American soldiers from the way they cheer at the end, like they're on some hunting trip. Seeing them use maximum force is going to make you think they are more interested in playing with toys than in any sort of humanity. It doesn't make the US look good, and it only serves as propaganda for the jihadists flooding into Iraq.
  13. And you can edit the width and height of Ac_Rect_1 in Defensive Tactics to give yourself more room for setup too.
  14. Combat Tactics: If you edit the line <Territory ... in the mission.xml file you can give yourself extra room to flank. The third figure defines the width of the play area. I've looked at the Defensive Tactics mission file and I've been able to up the skill of the AT gunners, but they still die straight away anyway. I haven't looked at the Germans too much yet. 15. I'll echo what the good Field Marshall says, just played the first training mission and it looks good so far!
  16. I'd be interested, but I don't think I could consistently manage the rate of emails you're after.
  17. I can't quite remember what they were doing when first fired on, they might have been moving to contact.
  18. The early Gallic confidence about dealing with this piffling recon screen may have been misplaced. Despite the quick folding of the screen on the left of the map, there's an argument in the centre that I can't get out of - a few enemy squads there are pinning some of my boys. I have to say though, that these French troops seem to panic easily, despite not being green. Are there differences in the nations' psychological hardness in CMAK, or have I just got a bunch of cowards?
  19. Appearances can be deceptive, wait until it's all over before you decide I know what I'm doing!
