  1. I just saw the German movie "Stalingrad" for the second time (first time was 10 years ago), and it got me thinking, how "real" is it? -Alech [ July 20, 2004, 08:48 PM: Message edited by: Alech ]
  2. Great AAR WarHawk! I can't wait to see what happens next. =) -Alech
  3. Well, later in the war (around Kursk) the Germans would use a “Panzer Wedge” which consisted of a few Tigers at the point of the wedge. They where flanked by Panthers that made up the “outer wall” of the wedge. Inside the wedge they put the more vulnerable PzIII and IV. I guess they felt this would preserve the maximum of firepower the longest. A Tiger of Panther would hopefully survive the first few shots from the AT-guns, and then the whole wedge would fire back. At least I think that’s the theory behind it. No idea if that works in CM though, and it stalled in Kusrk as well. -Alech
  4. Did some checking and as far as I can tell, the only way to get casualties to return to their unit is if the come back immediately after the battle. The next battle it can only receive replacements. Was this the intention? I thought wounded soldiers would be sent back to their units even if a few months had passed... -Alech
  5. Erm... Are you supposed to list "No. Of Men OK at End" for Squads who where not involved in a fight? I.e. If a quad has 8 out of 10 men before a battle, it won't take part in the battle. Am I supposed to fill in the "No. Of Men OK at End" column with "8" or leave it blank? -Alech [ July 19, 2004, 12:15 PM: Message edited by: Alech ]
  6. Try this one: http://www.roqc.cdgroup.org/ It's lovely! =) -Alech
  7. Oh... This is really cool. =) Thanks Sergei. -Alech
  8. I hihgly recommend making a habit of ALWAYS doing that when pasting something into the ROQC spreadsheet. It ensures that you don't destroy the formatting of the cells. </font>
  9. I had that problem to. If you copy paste, you need to "paste special" -> "values". The "=" Rob mention is a smoother way of doing it though. -Alech
  10. Could the "A" version have been used as spare parts for later versions?
  11. Many of you have probably seen this before, but for newcomers (and the people who have been asleep for over a year) I thought I'd mention the campaign system developed by RobO: RobO's Quick Campaign It may look a bit complicated, but it's really very easy. After two battles, the paperwork takes about 5-10mins and then you are ready to go again. If anybody has played a long campaign with this system, I'd love to hear their opinions and thoughts on it. I'm on my 15th battle now and loving it. Regards, Alech [ July 07, 2004, 09:31 PM: Message edited by: Alech ]
