Kingfish, I don't know if that site helped Gibsonm, but it sure enlighted me. Good one. DavidI -
MikeyD, I hear you there. Gurra's have a permanent spot in CMETO but that leaves 5 other CM games for yours! Oh boy! DavidI

MikeyD, Oh, I would take that kitty as is! DavidI

MikeyD, Make yourself a "CMBB Late War" game and play the scenarios set in East Prussia, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary etc. on that. These buildings will also work for CMETO, but I just love Panzerman's buildings too much. Lastly the original artists deserve all the credit, I just tweek colors and cut and paste. DavidI

MikeyD, Man I am really looking forward to these. I am also looking forward to seeing good looking spare tracks hanging from the turrent. I found that getting the proportions right was a bitch. Most of the previous attempts make the links too big when compared to the ones hanging from the chassis sides and from the ones on the rolling gear. Your WIP ones look very promising. Keep up the great work and please keep us posted. DavidI PS. As I wrote this I kept scrolling up to look at your new WIP and then back down to what I was typing and all I could think of was "Wow"! DI

MikeyD, I particularly like the "middle cap thingy". "I've got to admit, I do enjoy doin' drive sprocket art." I am glad, however I am slightly concerned for your mental health. DavidI

Hasty Camo Wirbelwind and Ostwind. Done with Fernando's CMBO mod, MikeyD's Pz IV chassis, snow textures from GEM. I applied camo to chassis, tweeked a bit here and there and modified the snow textures. Look like this: Enjoy, DavidI -
MikeyD, Good and good. Super Mega will be apt for the Panthers! David

Der Kuenstler, The way buildings work in CMBB and CMAK are as follows. 3 X Shacks 8 X Small Buildings (4 light & 4 Heavy) 3 X Medium Buildings (multi story all light) 3 X Heavy Buildings (all heavy) 1 X Church (heavy) (CMBB has a Factory) When I look at the Small buildings in CMBB and CMAK there doesn't seem to be any way to distinguish between the lights and heavies by appearance only. However in Ed Kinney's ETO/CMBB Late War small buildings the light ones are plaster buildings and the heavies are brick/block construction. It kinda looks like you could rearrange and renumber the non-brick and brick buildings in CMBB to distinguish which are which (light buildings are bmp's 6012 to 6023 and heavies are bmp's 6027 to 6038 for undamaged buildings). Let's see, where does that leave us? Ah yes the answer to your questions: No. ...and... You could mark the heavy building walls with a great big "H", marking the roofs won't help. I think your best bet would be use your line of sight command to determine which is which. Hope that helps. DavidI

MikeyD, Thanks for the responce. I think your making a good call on the zimmerit. I haven't noted any difference between CMAK and CMBB panthers and have used them back and forth. But then again I don't have the keen eye of the real artist. DavidI

MikeyD, Wow Mikey, that is looking really good! I was wondering which zim pattern you were going to use and that one is perfect for the late D. Are you going to do others for different models or are you going to stay with that one? DavidI

***Happy New Year 2007 Present for you All***
David I posted a topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Happy New Year to all of you CM'ers and BFC. I intend to be too hung over and too busy cooking to send these out tomorrow, so.... First is Fernando's excellent Hastily camo'ed SPW 250 series. These have been converted from his CMBO mods into CMAK by yours truely: Next is Andrew TF's (the Great and Powerful) Panzer Yellow SPW 251/1 converted to the rest of the series by me (mainly by using other bits and pieces of Andrew's other mods). Cut and Paste, Cut and Paste. Anyway look like this: These are all excellent for Sicily and Early Italy (I use Andrew's camo Half tracks for late war Italy). There are options for crosses. The support groups will not work for CMBB unless they are renumbered. Happy New Year. Enjoy, DavidI -
Wow! The well placed Panther.
