  1. philippe, they look better in game than in your screenies. cmak
  2. the problem with bamboo is the "moving lines" or "zebra" effect when scrolling across the field. small dark lines distort unless viewed head on. i have a bamboo bmp that i made some shacks out of. for mine markers, in the cmbo pacific mod are the english red, white and wood mod, and the wood japanese lettered mod.
  3. from the file lists for cmmos #! Version 1.00 # German 75mm Pak 40 (yellow) 113300 113301 113302 113303 113304 113305 113306 113307 113308 113309 113310 113311 zimorodok's pak 40 rustworks is 63300-63311. that is the winter version of 13300-13311. for late war cmak renumber to 163300-163311.
  4. this is what i have from gautrek's mods and trial and error, no guarantee. 37mm pak 36 108520-108531 50mm pak 38 - 75mm L36 12400-12411 113320-113331 inf guns 4016 4400-4409 4448 103378 104008 104011 104014 104015 104016 104019 104249 104270-104289 104390-104393 104440-104448 104520
  5. that makes sense. thanks. i appreciate the effort bfc has gone through to keep the games "play balanced". you can only do so much with a computer program. of course then is the discussion about why dont we get more smoke and why cant i hide behind a tank, etc. i think all of this worked well in 2d top down turn based games. but i dont play those anymore.
  6. ok, i can see the logic in that. how do you borg spot through blocked los? i'm not being a smarta**, just curious how that would work for the a.i. we currently area fire at last seen icons, what would be the main difference? if i waste my ammo at ghosts, how is that gamey?
  7. you post them, i will use them. how about exit bmps from the same wooden sign?
  8. I found this reading through CMH brochures of Korea. Oh yeah, btw, tanks in Korea. In the midst of the fighting at the head of the column, the guns in the two leading tanks jammed because of faulty rounds. At that time a shell came in toward Nordstrom's tank from the left front. Nordstrom instructed his platoon sergeant(MSgt. Jasper W. Lee) to fire in the general direction of the enemy gun until he and the tank behind him could clear their guns. This was done within a few minutes, and Nordstrom, having the best field of fire, started placing armor piercing rounds at five-yard intervals along the top of the ridge to his left, firing on the only logical positions in that area, since he could see no enemy vehicles. Following the sixth round there was another flash and explosion that set fire to nearby bushes and trees. The next enemy fire came a few minutes later-another round from a selfpropelled gun. It appeared to have come from the right-front. It cut across Lieutenant Nordstrom's tank between the caliber .50 machine gun and the radio antenna about a foot above the turret, and then hit one of the tanks in Lieutenant Cook's platoon, seriously injuring four men. Because of the smoke it was impossible to pinpoint the enemy, so Nordstrom commenced firing armor-piercing shells into the smoke, aiming along the top of the ridge on the right side of the road. He hoped that the enemy gunners would believe that their position had been detected, and move so that he could discover the movement. Another green tracer passed his tank, this time a little farther to the right. Nordstrom increased his own rate of fire and ordered three other tank crews to fire into the same area. There was no further response from the enemy gun and, to conserve ammunition which was then running low, Nordstrom soon stopped firing. It was suddenly quiet again except along the ridgelines paralleling the road where Australian infantrymen and the other two tank platoons were pressing their attack. No action was apparent to the direct front. At the rear of the column, Lieutenant Cook had gone to his damaged tank, climbed in and, sighting with a pencil along the bottom of the penetration, determined the approximate position of the enemy gun. He radioed this information to Nordstrom, who resumed firing with three tanks along the top of the ridge on the right side of the road. Again he failed to hit anything. For lack of a better target he then decided to put a few rounds through the smoke near the first enemy tank destroyed. He thought the two rounds might possibly have come from this tank even though the fire and explosions made this very improbable. The third round caused another explosion and gasoline fire. With this explosion most enemy action ended and only the sound of occasional small-arms fire remained.
  9. looking at my notes for sealion, some cmbb grau artillery needed to be renumbered, some didn't, for late war italy in cmak. get or use the file list for cmmos for cmak. find the text files for the artillery that you want. compare the bmp numbers with what you have for cmbb. the file list looks like this: Gun_German_75mm_infantry #! Version 1.00 # German 75mm Infantry Gun Italy 104011 104012 104014 104015 104016 104019 for winter in italy it would need to be, 154011 154012 etc. does this help?
  10. later tonight i'll check my sealion collection and see what i did for grau late war. i used the file list from "CMMOS" and visually checked the the bmps. if the bmp is 8100 for winter 58100 14100 is 64100 etc parameters must be snow
  11. what you have done is what i would imagine. impromptu warnings, made by some private.
  12. i've been using the cmbo wooden ones (in english) in cmak for quite a while. i added a helmet to the ap and a tank sillouette to the tank one. edit: i dont remember if i had to renumber them, i am at work now.
  13. it is one or the other, lol since cmbo starts in june 44, why does it get two uniform choices? supply problems? when does it change in cmbo?
  14. iirc it is may 44 , i could be wrong. method 1. get hsg first town liberated , operation. from the allied side look at the unis and the date on screen. if it shows june 43, go into the editor and change it to june 44 and save it. (keep an original copy somewhere else) then start up and you should see the difference. method 2. go into editor, select new, open parameters, set date to june 43, open unit, select usa airborne, back to parameters, change date to june 44, open map editor and preview.
  15. my .02 worth last install i did, i exited mcafee and found out that didn't disable it. the cd spun and took forever to properly show the icons in the cd window i opened on my desktop. once the icons appeared, i double clicked setup and it installed ok.
  16. Another mod at CMMODS Korea USA summer uniforms. BFC early war uniforms, lightened and less blue, renumbered for late war infantry and tank crews. Includes tan camo helmets for platoon and support crew. Use for Inchon Marines or summer battles. Back up your files. Use with McMMM.
  17. Of course you are welcome, and thank you for the site. Posted by me at tpg: "I went ahead and donated to Keith, then figured while I'm at it, why not donate to Todd for CMMODS too. I sure have gotten my monies worth from these two sites. Send them the cost of a movie or concert ticket or pay per view." A game from the site probably last longer than the above events.
  18. send to @hotmail.com frontier needs to detect the isp source of it will bounce. enjoy the internet while it lasts.
  19. a dropdown menu, with single clicks to navigate. most people probably dont have a problem. i have f:\cm mods\MCMMMzips as my folder. i dont have every zip in that folder. the list would be huge. if i am working on a project, like sealion, i keep those zips in f:\cm mods\sealion. if i need to delete zips with mistakes, then add new mods from that folder, each zip i have to click change, then go through the popup window. if the directory would stay in that folder until close McMMM it would help. i can change the directory manually, but then i have to change it back manually.
  20. btw, is there a faster way to pick mods from other folders? right now i click the change button, double click my cmmod folder, then double click the folder with the mod i want.
  21. i sent you an e card, guess you deleted it lol. i now have six installs on my MCMMM.
  22. New mod up, 1ST Cav tank crew. Just portraits and green helmets with goggles from CMBO, resized and recoloured. I am working on summer USA. BFC CMAK early war renumbered to late war has the green t-shirt, but the green uniform is wrong I think. BFC late war modded with white t-shirts the uniforms look too dark.
  23. First stop Mark Gallear's Mod School Actually his whole site is good. After that trial and error. You will probably want an original bmp folder copy somewhere on your hard drive. You may then copy and paste the original bmps over the mistakes. It is a learning curve.
