Hi all - am hoping someone can help as I'm proving to be absolutely useless at this game. I keep reading in the AARs about people operating Axis troops over to the western front on turn one with a view to invading Benelux on turn 2 and still taking Warsaw on turn 2 - how is this possible? can anyone please give me a detailed explanation of the 'best' opening moves. I appreciate things change all the time under different variable but some idea as to how to do this on a standard setting would be really useful many thanks in advance! regards

Hi - when i'm playing BB at a relatively low sight level, all i can see in the background is some pretty poorly drawn buildings (or at least, they really don't fit in) - they are all brightly coloured (pinks, whites, yellow etc). Is this a mod i've downloaded or part of the original? If it's a mod, how do i get rid of it? any idea? would much appreciate a positive response as it's driving me mad! regards

Hi guys - I have CDV's version of CMBB (version 1.00 which I bought when the game first came out). I recently had to restore my computer to factory settings after a major problem with it and have reinstalled the game. However, I can't find a site anywhere that has still got the CDV patches available for download - I have tried the suggested links given through this forum but they no longer work (apparently). Can anyone help? Are there any sites still holding the CMBB patches? If not, is there any other way round this (I'm contemplating buying the game again from Battlefront to get the latest version and to get round the SS problem of CDV!!) Any thoughts would be appreciated Regards

Yes it does. In fact, I re-installed CMAK last night and that now seems to work. Unfortunately it was not patched (I solved that part) but the next problem is that it won't now seem to recognise/find my existing folders (such as previous PBEMs, saved scenarios mods etc). Anyone know what the problem is there and how I can fix it? I still can't get it to load CM:BO or SC though and I can't reboot SC as I have lost the disc(I've been running it off the hard drive only for a while now)

hi guys i can't get any CM turns out because there's something wrong with my computer! Every time i try to start a game using the cd, it tells me that it can't find the shortcut. this is the same for CM, SC etc - nothing seems to work - even going direct to the cd. it tells me it can't find the shortcut (eg "Windows is searching for SC.exe" and then never finds it. anyone ever come across anything like this before and if so, how do i fix it? regards

both my BO and BB are CDV versions but CMAK was bought direct from Battlefront - I'm sensing a common thread here!! but is there a fix?
