  1. We need to bring this to his attention many players out here are looking for teamwork, not only the competitive 1on 1 games. There should be an option to control countries individually, and maybe a free for all mode, with everyone playing for himself. Any plans around this?
  2. ---Features--- a) Diplomacy Enhancements Diplomacy is now a viable option, for the Axis and the Allies. Each chit gives more % chance of success, and more chits are available. War % adapted Many countries have been modified, to serve the gameplay. c) New Minors Addition of Austria, Czechoslowakia, Albania, Luxembourg and Saoudi Arabia d) Minors upgraded Many minors are now able to produce their own armies, at reduced costs. The costs are country-dependant and should be profitable for both axis and allies; The Axis needs Austria and possibly Sweden and Norway to gain land and sea superiority, as much as UK needs Canada and possibly Egypt to close the gap. They can also be used more effectively to stop an invasion. (Simulation of the many foreign fighters who served during WW2) e) Almost each Country has its HQ To simulate each country's military leadership, hqs have been created. Minors now also have rating 8 leaders. f) More Strategic Ressources USA, USSR, Egypt, Italy and Germany have some more ressources. g) Low techs from start, but plenty of time Techs start low, but as the game starts in december '37, each player has plenty of time to plan in which way their armed forces will be modelled. h) Carriers upgraded Carriers can now effectively train against ground targets. i) Fortifications are now an option Many countries build fortifications a lot faster, some countries are better at it than others.(Again an advantage of converting minors instead of conquering them. i) Many strategies Each option is now viable. Germany can choose an agressive stance and wipe out all minors and both close majors soon, but then USA and USSR will join fast and will hit very hard, at a time when Germany might not be ready yet, or can go a more 'diplomatic' way and plan for long-term. A mixture of both is also viable, as the diplomacy now allows you to undo a % rise by buying off the majors. USSR could be delayed a long time if the Axis player decides to put cash in it. The Allies have even more ways of putting pressure on the axis by strengthening the Middle-East, playing agressive against coastal minors, or training their air power on Fortress Europe. -> available on request, post your email!
  3. Like a year ago, it seemed to be there has been said that sc2 would be a 6player game.. Is this still planned for future patches, or has the plan been cancelled?
  4. sry wrong place to post, can some1 move the topic
  5. hi all, how can i keep russia from rising its %? 1 corps in both warchau and konigsberg and in two hexes below warchau doesnt seem to work, i get an angry ussr in june 41. Thx
  6. Great! Keep it up! Nice to see pple devote their time to enhance the game experience, thanks
  7. @Night: play as allied against axis ai, while waiting for the patch. Im trying to make a balanced campaign against ai, in which i have partially succeeded. Axis gets Norway and Sweden from the start of the game, and 8 diplo points into spain. Romania has got an hq, sweden an hq and 2 tanks. I am in 41 right now, axis is not doing bad, theyr trying to break the line smolensk-sevastopol in russia and r counter-attacking in turkey, which i have declared war upon. Play this at +2xp and u should get a challenge...
  8. @terif: i tend to agree with blashy. It should not be a problem to remake a scenario and make it balanced through the editor, and then make that scenario known to the tcp community as being the 'standard one' (on the PL and elsewhere). I am sure some of the top guys would be able to make such a scenario with the tools available if they committed some time in it instead of headcracking all the time Houserules r another point. Some houserules give an effect you cannot recreate with the editor, well then you have your houserules on the 'modified' standard campaign. Houserules do not always serve the balance of the game, but rather to make some 'roulette' moves impossible. The two do not exclude each other
  9. good points.. would increase game speed a bit, especially in tcp games
  10. @jon_j: i like the timer too, it finally restricts endless thinking and gives an edge to intuitive players, like it should be. and as you have broadened the topic--> fav tech: IT (i like the historical simulation of increase in mpps) fav add-on feature: diplomacy (there should be some enhancements however for the allies, so that uk has more means of countering an agressive axis diplomat in early-game)
  11. okay.. here it is--> what is your favorite unit, and the one you dislike the most.. favorite: paratrooper (cool concept) suckiest: carrier (disappointment)
  12. thx to u editing guys to try to improve the ai performance.. ive read some topics but could not conclude from it if there was any ai script available yet. Like an axis ai who actually attacks suez and not with one Italian tank in 42. Or one that tries to make spain join with diplo, or attacks spain. U know what i mean, not an axis ai who attacks Dnk, LC and Fr, and then thinks the time is right to attack the ussr. Or an allied ai which effectively uses usa (although i suspect thats harder to create). Id like an axis ai who declares war on the whole world if i had the time id try it myself, maybe i will be able to later on. ive played many tcp games in SC1 but now i find it a bit too slow, especially the transfer speed between games.. Still a great game, ofcourse
  13. carriers may perform like they really did, but ingame they r too expensive compared to what theyr worth.. their costs should be decreased dramatically, not only their reinforcements but also their upgrades. With the disappearance of the need for training in the early game for uk, game is pretty dull when playing allies untill the arrival of the soviet union
  14. ok i pre ordered some hours ago.. how long will i have to wait to get the second email? thx for giving your customers this opportunity
  15. @justanotherwargamer: i agree, too much fuss from some pple who cant wait, but brings life to the forum though @Don't shoot me: Fantomas was joking, somewhat childishly, granted, but you can keep your insults for yourself ..
  16. thx for the briefing Martin, now i understand fully why. Ill have to adapt and ask some friends' visa
  17. thx for your fast response Martin, and i know there are other ways, but its so much easier to get it in the store.. i dont understand why battlefront does not offer its products in retail. It would sell more, and even if i understand the ideas behind it i dont see why games in stores would deteriorate on the quality of your products. Is it about the fear of being treated as a big-business company? it all doesnt make any difference as your products r still the best in wargaming.
  18. Digital Download.. shipping.. all the same, as you need to pay via inet. cant trust that. I want the game in the store next door..
  19. @boron: you dont want such a patch.. a tcp game till 47 will last 10 hours minimum.. @kuniworth: not that you arent funny, but welcome the guy, dont shoot him.. Kuniworth is chasing away new blood from the game, thats kinda lame
  20. yea, i perfectly get your point, the way you answered taojah was not justified thats all.. it was the guys way of telling what he thought, and then you answered by tackling him on his number of posts, and thats juvenile.. you dont have to be that agressive, thats MY point. But whatever, i guess waiting for SC2 has got us all bit tensed
  21. @kuniworth: We are waiting for the game a loooong time otherwise We would not be here now, and We have the same right as your sorry ass to send what We like, in Our opinion YOU are totally undemocratic, always telling people what they should not be talking about or not sending to this forum. YOU are not a moderator so plz keep quiet. Taojah was very polite and you (agaiiiiin) have to make silly remarks about the demo: this game has got a lot of feedback, screens, everyone here on this forum is somehow related to SC, and taking into account that HC is creating the game (and the guy took his time ) this WILL be a great purchase.. so i wont use the demo, no p with pple who do, but i have faith
  22. you wont even try SC2 coz it has no hexes?? cmon.. go back to panzergeneral then you dont get the real clue of the game
  23. ok guys u win: i want to know.. what is that christmas riot ur all talking about? jjr must have been in
