Sept 7th 1941 The GHC is very pleased, the axis powers are looking unbeatable (on land) and the diplomatic corps is pulling down victroys as well. Soon german will be spoken by all in Eroupe!! Home by christmass is what Hiler is promosing the troops. Alantic: Quiet West: Raiding on our troops in Normandy is becoming a pain but nothing serious right now Med: Turkey surrenders after 'serious' combat around Istanbul. One HQ, Army and corps are destroyed, the city of Istanbul is renamed... Constanople and given over to Bulgeria. Itlian units destroy another corps with ground and air raids near Syeria. Units are pushed deap into the MTs with the goal of reaching the Black Sea coast and its fields. East: A minor multi unit (but the first) battle is fought for two weeks east of Odessia (axis controlled) around the mines of Ukraine. USSR lose's two corps and one army to GR one Army and a few damaged units. Several units push up to Krusk and await orders as HQs rush forward to this new supply base. Scandinavia: Sweden joins her aryen brothers to the south. She adds a minor navy and two full army groups of units. [ March 05, 2007, 09:02 PM: Message edited by: Iron Ranger ]

August 31st 1941 Axis long term plans are exposed. Med: Turkey is DOWed... oil from the new Roman Empire will FLOW! Using massed air and para units the two central citys (one the capital) are bombed by German, Itlian and Iraq Air fleets. German para units take the capital while Italy lands a para unit in the MT city. The costal citys are bombarded by BBs and CNs of the Itlian navy so that USSR cant send troops in. Bulgerian troops backed by the German Africa Korps attack units in Eroupean Turkey. The Turks burn thier own citys, must be getting advise from the USSR... all taken citys are str 0. West: Quiet, only sub raiding my both sides. Minor air raids on the French coastal citys East: Krusk is taken... a punishing frontal assult on this central city leaves one USSR L4 armor destroyed and several German units damaged. With this attack the German Northern and Southern wings are joined for the Fall offencive. The German posistion in Russian looks like a V with the point at Krusk and falling back to Lenningrad and Odessia. Diplo: Huge hit on Sweden (38%)... she has seen the light with the attack on Turkey and is now joining the axis powers. With her in German now has these goverments under her advise: Hungery Romania Bulgeria Finland Iraq Sweden While thier units are weak (no tech), the air power is nice. The HQs can provied supply. The ground units work well as garrison boys so the men of German can go fight the Allied powers. Note: The assult on Turkey took a LONG time to put together. Poor use of units and movement by me were the reason. After my Amphib assult unit was turned around in the Black Sea I went the all air route to take that intiror city (7 air fleets). Bio is right, the OOB for the turkish units needs to be redone. Also I'm not sure a sub would be the right units for thier navy, BB perhaps? Para Units: (edited) Germany starts with 1, gets one in Jan 40. I purchased the rest (two), plus the Itlian one. This cost me alot of time and MPPs, but clearly this is the armored fist of the axis powers in this war. The early game 'plan' for the allies was diplo, axis para. July-August 1941 The Summer of War West: Quiet for the most part, UK sends her air to bomb our troops in French towns but little other action. In late July the USA recived some poor advise from UK and joined her side, she will regret that. With USA in the war Vichy France was 'inticed' into the axis war machine. Sadly the brave people of Ireland were attacked by UK as well. Atlantic: Sub Raiding by germany had the UK send out most of her fleet. Unknown to Axis high camand UK as several CVs.. not just 3 or 4. So in the insuing battle while we sank most of the CVs... we think our fleet was desimated... only a few reached home port and now sit awaiting repairs. We continue to hit the covoy's when we can but at much reduced effect. Med: Italy continues to try and bring back the Roman Empire. IW 3 helps but she is so poor few of her troops are maxes in str or tech. Tunis falls after a botched Landing assult then takes several more turns to kill off as USA supported the troops in the capital. Only when air from France and Italy is sent in to the Tunis Boys die off. Raids by Greek and Egyptian partisans are hitting the citys but we are ignoring them. Late in Augest Italy is spending time on the rail system for with Gabralter and Cape of Good Hope in Allies hands they can land troops almost anywhere. East: The gray host crawls forward slowly. After finding out our rail system doesnt match the USSRs rail, Germany had to change plans. The troops in the south were put on hold... never advanced past the ground they took in the first month (March) of the war. Mean while the troops in the north were given prefered air power and fast (mech2) scout units to encircle citys and USSR troops if they could. By this fast moving but low supply tacits Germany took the two Citys on the Moscow road, encircled Linngrad and took it after two weeks of bombardment. Then Blitz attacked (frontal assult) the third and last city on the road to Moscow. A scout unit was sent around this city but was killed by L4 USSR armor (at no supply). Black Sea: The Romainian fleet with German air trys to send out a corps by sea. She runs into the USSR fleet and a running battle begins, most of the ships are at low str. Several ships are heavly damaged, with each side losing one CA. The corps returns to port at str 2 and lands for safty. Diplo: Most minor are now in the war. A few are waiting to see what happens Turkey: 5% axis Sweden:60+% axis Spain: 59% axis Yougoslovia: 88% allied Morroco: 77% allied Algeria: 58% allied Iran: 20% allied others too low or weak to matter Notes: 1) I was wrong on the +1AD, should be changed. More latter on this 2) Linnengrad was cut off but remaind at 10 str.. I think some of the sea/land tile are to blame (facing) 3) Siberian troops transfered in Augest. I had not taken (or was close) to any of the center citys. And had just taken Smolioic (sp), seams way too early for these troops to come in as its not winter or Moscow threatened.

Wow, alot of posts here. A few problems with the Z-plan overall. Oil; germany just didnt have it to fuel these BB pigs. Getting fuel to these huge fuel eating machines was not possiable unless they could buy oil from someone (russia?) Lost time; across the board germany was behind the western allies in tech. The lost tech/development due to the basicly stagnit naval program of the 20s would have ment while thier ships were big and scary, they had holes in the design (see the Bismarks tiller problems).

This game is over for the axis, will continue but the supply situation in Russia is horid and my lack of understanding of a few changes hurt. NP overall.. but USSR is ajoke. Basicly your always at or near 0 supply and one partisan can wipe out several citys of supply if you get some. With the huge map its just not realistic to cover all the marsh and forest hex unless you do a study on which ones need to be covered. A few suggestions for the mod: In no way can this be complete as I have not played it enough or both sides 1) Remove spoting 2 from subs 2) Rethink the spoting and strike range of air fleets with 0 LR.. its huge right now 3) Rethink para units droping 8 hexs... seams abit much. Then again 6 is not enough.. 7? 4) Rockets with full tech can not hit London. Need more base range on them 5) I have not counted but UK seams to have too many CVs 6) 1 chit in tech is good idea, but due to the incressed number of turns your going to get hits more offen. Decress the % chance for a hit? Its mid 41 and Germany has max most of her necessary tech one year ago. Drop the MPPs allow by 1/2 as well. 7) We had several Diplo hits on countrys that are gone, bug? 8) Supply in USSR is so bad you dont have any. Between the partisans (over powered in SC remember), schored earth and the HUGE distances you dont have low supply... you have NO supply. I think the solution here without a complete rebuild would be to turn off the Schored earth option 9) Several hex on the map need to be reworked. NP, happens. One is the port for Athens Greece... you cant unload in the city. Others like this one 10) The movement cost for MTs is nice. But it turns them into unbreakable fortress's. A dual row of MTs basicly is unbeatable. 10) Remove the Iraq convoy for axis.. no way they would have gotten oil tankers past South Africa. Eather make it a Med convoy (Halfia port?) or a land route if Turkey is pro axis or controled by the axis 11) Air Fleets are crazy overpowered... they rule the game here. 2 SA and TA is just too much when you include the easy xp they will gain over time (if used smart). June 1st 1941 East: Minsk taken with little damage after isolating it, troops continue to push deap into russia with little problem. Huge fortress complex in the south however has not been scouted. Med: Greeks fight on damn it....!!! West: After striping the defence's of France and Germany for the attack on Russia new units are sent in to defence the Fatherland from UK raids and or air attacks. Alantic: One sub sunk after transport seachs and find it. More raiding on Canadian shipments, looks like USA has cut off the supply

May 4th 1941 Med: Attacks by two damaged army groups is too much for the Indian corps... Egypt surrenders to Italy. Iraq see's the light and they overthrow thier UK overlords (80% axis). Greeks do not like what is happening and will not bow to German.. so Para units (five total) are sent to Athiens to capture the goverment. Sadly the troops in the MTs do not give up this week but thier situation is hopeless. East: The mines of Ukraine are taken and Vilnius is captured without a fight. In fact few Red Army units are spoted anywhere. Intel says that not too far to the east of the mine a huge fortress complex has been constructed. April 26 1941 East: WAR!!!! Germany invades russia after scouting the border and finds no troops near.. but the weather is mud and we dont make much porgress. Odessia is taken as is the fort of Bresst. West: Quietn (French Partisans destroy the mine) Med: Italy starts bombing the Egyptian capital but pulls most troops back for R&R. April 6 1941 Med: Fast combat units rush in and take the suez cannel from the UK. Soon after ships BBs and CAs rush through and bomb the port to the point no more oil will be shiped. A Itlian raider lands near the egyptian oil fields and marchs S to them. A german Korps marchs from Halfa to Damascass and takes the city without a fight. Its looking like the end is near for UK rule in the Middle east. Alantic: Sub raiding stops with the clear weather on the high seas East: USSR notes HUGE troop movements on her border and informs the Red Army its time to bleed for the Morther land. USA 65% or so USSR 75% or so

March 23 1941 Med: USA is not happy with the combat situation in Egypt, sends a strong protest to Germany about the situation. In the sands two more UK minor corps are taken down, Italy shows off her new IW3 guns. East: The skys clear, several USSR units note the troop movements near thier border and pull out. Alantic: More raiding by german subs.. over 100MPPs sunk last week West: Quiet but sunny.

Feb 23 1941 Med: USSR reacts to Itlian units outside of Axlandrea. Two full army groups of ground and air units are now in Egypt fighting the flys more then the UK minor units hiding behind the Nile. East: Romainian units are seen moving to the border of USSR.. what else is happening? West: Quiet Alantic: Raiding by GR subs on anything moving to the UK ..... a war zone is declared around the island and any that enter it is fired at... Lets see what the USA does about this.

January 26 1941 Med: A boiling pot of combat rage's in the desert of Egypt. A full Itlian army group destroys an Aussy Corps but spots several other units hiding behind the Nile. A raiding team captures the port of Haifa while a CA bombards the Indian Corps 'traped' in a fortress on the El Alamein ridge (0 def damage 2 att damage). East: Very cold West: Quiet Alantic: raiding by GR subs on oil from Middle East.

Dec 29 1940 Med: No Christmass dinner for the Italians; they march deap into Egypt and attack a Australian Corps (L2 exp) for heavy damage. Nine units can now be spoted by UK minor troops. Alantic: German Sub raiding on supplys heading for UK. East: Quiet (and very cold) West: Quiet

That unit landed and attacked a CA in port for 2 turns then was destroyed in Oct 1940 (edited my post to show this). Since it was not near eather of the two triggers (citys) thier was no.. percived effect on USA or USSR. The high level of thier readyness is due to UK spending alot... all? of her MMPs on these countrys.

Dec 15th 1940 Med: Italy pulls out of her forts in Tobruk and cross's the Egyten border. The sourthern forts of the El Alamein ridge are taken without a fight. Only UK minor units are spoted. West: Quiet East: Quiet USA 44% USSR 63%

What Bio says above is true, but I feel its due to his decision to go pure diplo with UK and not make any moves. Axis need these long turns to set up combat OR operate alot and thats quite costly in this sneario since most units cost 1.5+ more then the std game.

Dec 1940 All fronts quiet but the planes have been flying from UK to USA and USSR.. several hits on both majors.

Oct 1940 All fronts quiet as the weather turns ugly for several turns. Korps in UK has been dispatched by a mix of UK air and naval units. [ February 20, 2007, 01:49 PM: Message edited by: Iron Ranger ]

Sept 22 1940 West: Counter attack by UK CV air units backed up by one CA sinks a german sub group. With that the Second battle of Junland seams to end as both side pull back from the coast of Norway... I think . All other fronts: Quiet
